Cowboys | Terrance Williams has No. 2 job locked down

Tue, 12 Aug 2014 15:55:39 -0700

Dallas Cowboys WR Terrance Williams has done everything asked of him in training camp as the No. 2 wide receiver opposite WR Dez Bryant. The No. 3 receiver position seems to be a committee with WR Cole Beasley as the leader among TE Gavin Escobar and WRs Dwayne Harris and Devin Street.

Fantasy Tip: Williams is a big-play threat, much like Bryant, in an offense that should see him gain a sizeable increase in targets. This could be a breakout year for Williams, and he'll surely have weeks where he could carry a lineup.

Dallas Cowboys TE Gavin Escobar has impressed tight ends coach Mike Pope. Pope praised Escobar's tremendous hands and ability to contort his body to make acrobatic catches. Escobar's fearlessness down the field has also caught Pope's attention.

Fantasy Tip: Watch Escobar on your waiver wire early in the season. He has the talent to be a fantasy starter but is blocked by Jason Witten. If Escobar sees time in the slot and red zone targets, he could enter flex territory.

Witt's certainly going to be a big part of what we do with our offensive football team. But that doesn't mean Gavin can't be more involved."
