Arkansas TE Chris Gragg did not have a good season in 2012, and scouts were down on his draft prospects heading into the NFL Scouting Combine. However, he showed excellent athleticism during the positional workout at the combine, and NFL personnel think Gragg may be able to return to his previous form. He showed quickness, precision while running routes and good hands with body control.

Arkansas TE Chris Gragg and Rice TE Vance McDonald had a time of 7.08 seconds, while Maryland TE Matt Furstenburg managed a time of 7.09 seconds. South Carolina TE Justice Cunningham and Ohio State TE Jake Stoneburner checked in with 7.12 seconds, while Auburn TE Philip Lutzenkirchen managed a time of 7.15 seconds. Tennessee TE Mychal Rivera had a time of 7.17 seconds, Michigan State TE Dion Sims managed a time of 7.36 seconds and Boston College TE Chris Pantale checked in with a time of 7.48 seconds.

Notre Dame TE Tyler Eifert, Colorado TE Nick Kasa and Michigan State TE Dion Sims each posted 22 reps of 225 pounds in the bench press at the NFL Scouting Combine Friday, Feb. 22. Auburn TE Philip Lutzenkirchen managed 21 reps, while Maryland TE Matt Furstenburg, Arkansas TE Chris Gragg and Ohio State TE Jake Stoneburner hoisted the weight 18 times. UCLA TE Joseph Fauria had 17 reps, as did Boston College TE Chris Pantale and Tennessee TE Mychal Rivera. Florida TE Jordan Reed rounded out the group with 16 reps.
