Fri, 17 May 2013 19:20:05 -0700 The Chicago Bears and first-round pick OG Kyle Long agreed to terms Friday, May 17, on a four-year contract with a club option for a fifth year. Financial terms of the deal were undisclosed. Long is the last of the picks from the 2013 NFL Draft to sign with the team.

"This is a voluntary situation, and every player has to make his own decisions," Emery said. "Gabe has made a decision that he wants to stay in Arizona and train, and we respect that. And he'll be welcomed with open arms when he comes back." The team drafted OT Kyle Long in the first round of this year's draft, and it's assumed that Long will take Carimi's guard spot, leaving Carimi to battle for a starting job. Carimi told the team that he'd be skipping OTAs after their minicamp in April.

The team added OT Jermon Bushrod and OG Matt Slauson via free agency, and then picked OG Kyle Long with the 20th overall selection in the 2013 NFL Draft before selecting OT Jordan Mills in the fifth round. "(The coaching staff is) going to make sure everyone knows their assignments and we are protected," Cutler said in a radio interview. Fantasy Tip: The additions should give Cutler more time to find open receivers, and should add to his statistics. As long as WR Brandon Marshall remains healthy, Cutler has a top-notch target to make him a low-end No. 1 QB, or solid No. 2 for those leagues which require two starters at the position.
