Mississippi State CB Johnthan Banks said he is confident he can cover any wide receiver in the NFL, even Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson. "I think I can play against anybody. I can own anybody," Banks said. "I think I can cover Megatron." Banks added he believes SEC schools can compete with NFL teams, so his college experience has him ready for the pro game.

Slay showed quick feet, loose hips and speed and balls skills to impress throughout positional drills. He is believed to have improved his stock to land him a selection on the second day of the NFL Draft.

Mississippi State CB Johnthan Banks posted a time of 4.61 seconds in the 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine Tuesday, Feb. 26. He also had 10 reps of 225 pounds in the bench press, a 34-inch vertical leap, 10-foot-5 broad jump, 6.97 seconds in the three-cone drill and 4.27 seconds in the 20-yard shuttle.

Buccaneers | Very interested in Johnthan Banks

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are very interested in drafting Mississippi State CB Johnthan Banks in this year's draft, and the team's front office thinks he could go in the first round. Banks is the consensus second-rated cornerback in this year's draft class behind Alabama CB Dee Milliner. Milliner is expected to go before the Bucs select at 13th overall.
