Cardinals | Kerwynn Williams limited in practice again

Thu, 28 Dec 2017 17:12:13 -0800

Arizona Cardinals RB Kerwynn Williams (back, quadriceps, ribs) was limited in practice for the second straight day Thursday, Dec. 28.

Fantasy Tip: The back issue is something new but as long as he's participating in practice, Williams figures to be out there on Sunday for the season finale in Seattle. Based on his heavy usage as of late, the four-year veteran is on the RB2 radar, though it's possible that all these ailments he currently has may lead the club to scale back his workload a little bit. Thus, he could be a tricky option to deal with for Week 17.

Cardinals | Kerwynn Williams limited Wednesday

Wed, 27 Dec 2017 17:39:29 -0800

Arizona Cardinals RB Kerwynn Williams (quadriceps, ribs) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Dec. 27.

Fantasy Tip: This is actually an improvement over last week, when Williams did not practice Wednesday and Thursday before ultimately suiting up in the team's Week 16 victory over the Giants. Thus, he figures to be out there in the club's finale, and based on his high volume as of late, he's certainly on the RB2 map for all formats.

Cardinals | Kerwynn Williams totals 65 yards

Sun, 24 Dec 2017 20:49:08 -0800

Arizona Cardinals RB Kerwynn Williams rushed 16 times for a team-high 51 yards in Week 16 against the New York Giants and he added two catches for 14 yards on three targets.

Fantasy Tip: Williams has done a decent job filling in for the injured Adrian Peterson (neck), but he isn't anything to get terribly excited about heading into Week 17 in Seattle.

Cardinals | Kerwynn Williams will be in uniform

Sun, 24 Dec 2017 12:12:40 -0800

Arizona Cardinals RB Kerwynn Williams (quadriceps, ribs) is officially active for the team's Week 16 game.

Fantasy Tip: Williams may receive most of the work at running back against the New York Giants but should be considered a risky fantasy option because of the injuries. He could be a flex option in some leagues but can also be benched if owners have better options available.

Fantasy Tip: Williams was listed as questionable on the injury report but was only able to put in one limited practice session Friday, Dec. 22. He should be viewed as a risky fantasy option and could wind up splitting carries this afternoon with Elijhaa Penny if he's active.

Cardinals | Kerwynn Williams questionable

Fri, 22 Dec 2017 15:21:42 -0800

Arizona Cardinals RB Kerwynn Williams (quadriceps, ribs) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 22, and is listed as questionable for Week 16.

Fantasy Tip: Williams could be a game-time decision, so owners will need to check the inactive list to see if he will be allowed to play. He could be a valuable fantasy option if he plays because of the matchup. Elijhaa Penny would be a decent flex option in deeper leagues if Williams is ruled out.

Cardinals | Kerwynn Williams still sidelined

Thu, 21 Dec 2017 11:07:07 -0800

Arizona Cardinals RB Kerwynn Williams (quadriceps, ribs) did not practice Thursday, Dec. 21.

Fantasy Tip: Elijhaa Penny potentially has a prime opportunity to make a name for himself during the week of fantasy championships. If Williams can't practice at all this week then Penny is definitely worth a pickup after seeing 10 carries following Williams' injury last week.

Cardinals | No practice for Kerwynn Williams

Wed, 20 Dec 2017 18:11:29 -0800

Arizona Cardinals RB Kerwynn Williams (quadriceps, ribs) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 20.

Fantasy Tip: Williams appears to be in danger of missing Week 16 if he does not practice later in the week. He would be a risky option if he plays against the New York Giants, so owners may want to consider other options for their starting lineups.

Cardinals | Kerwynn Williams injured Week 15

Mon, 18 Dec 2017 10:27:12 -0800

Arizona Cardinals RB Kerwynn Williams (quad) was limited by a quad injury during the team's Week 15 loss to the Washington Redskins.

Fantasy Tip: It helps explain why Elijhaa Penny doubled his season total in carries and almost tripled his season total in rushing yards in Week 15. There's not much touchdown upside in Arizona's offense anymore, so owners would be wise to avoid pretty much every Cardinal except for Larry Fitzgerald as most fantasy championships get decided next weekend.

Cardinals | Kerwynn Williams busy in loss

Sun, 17 Dec 2017 14:12:07 -0800

Arizona Cardinals RB Kerwynn Williams rushed 17 times for 61 yards in Week 15 against the Washington Redskins and he didn't have a catch on his only target.

Fantasy Tip: Williams was busy, but he only posted 3.6 yards per carry in another start in place of Adrian Peterson (neck). The good news is Elijhaa Penny wasn't much better, posting 10 runs for 45 yards. The duo is likely to split the workload down the stretch with the Cardinals out of the postseason race and looking for someone to step up for the injured Peterson.

Cardinals | Kerwynn Williams ready to roll

Fri, 15 Dec 2017 14:11:35 -0800

Arizona Cardinals RB Kerwynn Williams (ribs) practiced in full for a third straight day Friday, Dec. 15, and he was removed from the injury report ahead of the Week 15 game against the Washington Redskins.

Fantasy Tip: Williams is likely to garner most of the carries again in the Arizona backfield, and he could be the bellcow down the stretch with Adrian Peterson (neck) done for the remainder of the season. Williams isn't a bad RB3 or flex fantasy option.

Arizona Cardinals WR John Brown (toe), LB Gabe Martin (hamstring), RB Adrian Peterson (neck) and OG Earl Watford (ankle) have been ruled out for Week 15 against the Washington Redskins. S Budda Baker (thigh), S Antoine Bethea (knee), OG Alex Boone (back), LB Karlos Dansby (rest), WR Larry Fitzgerald (rest), LB Chandler Jones (hip), DE Frostee Rucker (rest) and RB Kerwynn Williams (ribs) were full participants and removed from the injury report.

Cardinals | Kerwynn Williams fully practices

Thu, 14 Dec 2017 16:16:39 -0800

Arizona Cardinals RB Kerwynn Williams (ribs) fully participated in practice Thursday, Dec. 14.

Fantasy Tip: Williams is on track for another start with Adrian Peterson still sidelined. He has rushed for at least 73 yards in each of the last two games and can be a No. 2 running back or a flex option for owners.

Cardinals | Kerwynn Williams has full practice

Wed, 13 Dec 2017 13:49:35 -0800

Arizona Cardinals RB Kerwynn Williams (ribs) put in a full practice Wednesday, Dec. 13.

Fantasy Tip: Williams has averaged 18 carries over his last two games but has yet to score more than 10 fantasy points. He should continue to start with Adrian Peterson sidelined, but don't view him as more than a standard low-end RB2 or flex.

Cardinals | Kerwynn Williams totals 21 touches

Sun, 10 Dec 2017 20:09:36 -0800

Arizona Cardinals RB Kerwynn Williams rushed 20 times for 73 yards in Week 14 against the Tennessee Titans and he added one reception for 15 yards on his only target.

Fantasy Tip: Williams did a pretty decent job as the lead back with Adrian Peterson (neck) inactive for a second straight game. If AP is forced to miss additional time going forward it's Williams who will be a RB3 or flex fantasy option in leagues of 12 or more teams.

Fri, 08 Dec 2017 16:15:47 -0800

Arizona Cardinals RB Kerwynn Williams (ribs) was able to practice in full on Friday, Dec. 8, and he has been removed from the injury report ahead of the Week 14 game against the Tennessee Titans.

Fantasy Tip: Williams figured to see a lion's share of the work in the Arizona backfield with Adrian Peterson (neck) sidelined for a second straight game. Williams isn't a bad RB3 or flex play in leagues of 12 or more teams.

Cardinals | Kerwynn Williams figures to lead backfield

Fri, 08 Dec 2017 08:29:46 -0800

Arizona Cardinals RB Kerwynn Williams figures to see a good workload in Week 14 against the Tennessee Titans with RB Adrian Peterson (neck) likely out.

Fantasy Tip: Williams was limited this week with an injury to his ribs, but he is coming off his best showing since 2014. The Titans are a tough matchup, but Williams makes a decent flex option.

Cardinals | Kerwynn Williams practices

Thu, 07 Dec 2017 13:59:01 -0800

Arizona Cardinals RB Kerwynn Williams (ribs) fully participated in practice Thursday, Dec. 7.

Fantasy Tip: Williams will receive another start if Adrian Peterson is ruled out for another game. He is coming off a terrific Week 13 game and would see a solid amount of carries if he starts. He can be a low-end No. 2 running back or flex option in most leagues.

Cardinals | Kerwynn Williams runs hard in loss

Sun, 03 Dec 2017 20:49:14 -0800

Arizona Cardinals RB Kerwynn Williams ran 16 times for 97 yards in Week 13 against the Los Angeles Rams.

Fantasy Tip: Williams stepped in for the injured Adrian Peterson (neck) and he did a pretty decent job. Peterson's injury doesn't sound terribly serious, and if he is back in Week 14 it would likely mean a much smaller role for Williams.

Cardinals | Kerwynn Williams may start

Sat, 02 Dec 2017 15:17:24 -0800

Arizona Cardinals RB Kerwynn Williams likely would be the starting running back against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 13 if Adrian Peterson (neck) is ruled out.

Fantasy Tip: Owners will need to check the inactive list to see if Peterson or Williams will be the starting running back this week. Williams is dealing with injured ribs but probably would receive most of the carries if Peterson sits. He could be a low-end No. 2 running back or flex option.

Cardinals | Kerwynn Williams plays just one snap on MNF

Mon, 25 Sep 2017 22:06:26 -0700

Arizona Cardinals RB Kerwynn Williams played only one snap in the team's Week 3 game Monday, Sept. 25, against the Dallas Cowboys, rushing once for three yards.

Fantasy Tip: Yikes. Those who invested in Williams as their waiver acquisition following the injury to David Johnson have to be furious right now, as after serving as the starting running back only a week ago, it looks like he's already fallen to third on the depth chart. To try and salvage this move, owners should be vying for the services of Andre Ellington, who could be the new starter after his solid performance in this one.

Cardinals | Kerwynn Williams will start this week

Wed, 13 Sep 2017 14:00:08 -0700

Arizona Cardinals RB Kerwynn Williams will be the starting running back this week with RB Andre Ellington serving as the No. 2 running back, according to head coach Bruce Arians.

Fantasy Tip: Williams, Ellington and Chris Johnson form a committee in place of David Johnson. Williams does have the most fantasy appeal as the technical starter, but his ceiling is limited with the presence of the other two backs. Williams is no more than a flex option in Week 2.

Sun, 10 Sep 2017 16:30:49 -0700

Fantasy Tip: Williams saw a few more touches than anticipated with David Johnson (wrist) nicked up in the game. The severity of Johnson's wrist issue is not yet known. If he needs time to mend then Williams might be a nice short-term fantasy option with a favorable matchup in Week 2 in Indianapolis.
