Tim May reports in the Columbus Dispatch that several Ohio State players had impressive workouts on Friday. Many NFL scouts and staff were in attendance and the article reports the three most impressive players were LB Andy Katzenmoyer, WR David Boston and CB Antoine Winfield. WR Dee Miller and RB Joe Montgomery both clocked 4.45 seconds in the 40-yard dash. "They all represented themselves very well,'' Green Bay coach Ray Rhodes said. Dallas owner Jerry Jones brought a Dallas group with him to reportedly eye Boston who ran a 4.29 second 40. "We all knew (Boston) was fast, but he was faster than fast today,'' said Dom Anile, who works in the player personnel office with Indianapolis. "Everything else, we knew he could do. He didn't hurt himself. He had to move himself up.'' Katzenmoyer ran a 4.48-second (corrected from earlier) 40 when averaged across all scouts. He also had a vertical leap of 37 inches. Both are good marks for a LB of his size. Winfield ran a "consensus" 4.37-second 40. "Antoine was very impressive, very quick, he showed great explosion,'' Atlanta assistant coach Ron Meeks said. Some are worried about Winfield's height (5-foot-9) but Meeks said not to worry, that Winfield would be a player in the NFL.
