"For the most part, you look across our team, this is a hard-working team. I think our conditioning program is really good that way," Schwartz said. "We got very comfortable with his personality at the Senior Bowl, his work ethic, and we don't anticipate that being a problem." Warford is currently weighs 330 pounds but believed to have played at nearly 350 pounds while at Kentucky.

"That's a fair statement, but it's also fair to say we had more holes coming into it, or more holes that we knew about, coming into this draft than we did last year," Mayhew said. "We do expect a lot of those guys, especially guys that we took early, to be on the field pretty quickly." First-round pick DE Ezekiel Ansah was drafted to replace DE Kyle Vanden Bosch. Second round pick CB Darius Slay will compete with CB Bill Bentley. Third round pick OG Larry Warford will likely replace OG Stephen Peterman.
