Kansas City Chiefs OT Eric Fisher said he expected to work at right tackle during the rookie minicamp because OT Branden Albert is the team's left tackle. "I kind of expected it. Albert is a great tackle, somebody I'll be able to learn from. I'm really looking forward to getting through this rookie camp and then learning from the veterans and just improving my game every day," Fisher said.

The Kansas City Chiefs selected Central Michigan OT Eric Fisher with the first overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.
Fantasy Tip: Andy Reid picks his likely left tackle to protect Alex Smith in this West Coast offense. Their decision on whether to trade Branden Albert may force Fisher to learn on the fly, but either way, this gives Smith a better chance to immediately make an impact in this system as a solid fantasy backup. Jamaal Charles probably approves of this pick, as well.

There is growing speculation the Jacksonville Jaguars will either select Texas A&M OT Luke Joeckel or Central Michigan OT Eric Fisher with the No. 2 overall pick in the NFL Draft. If Joeckel goes to the Kansas City Chiefs first overall, then the Jaguars could take Fisher. If the Chiefs go with Fisher, the Jaguars could nab Joeckel. Since the team already has a left tackle in OT Eugene Monroe, the draft pick would be moved to right tackle and general manager David Caldwell said he could defend taking a right tackle in the second slot.
