Titans | GM not worried about Marcus Mariota |
Thu, 25 Jun 2015 13:55:27 -0700
Tennessee Titans general manager Ruston Webster told media he would not mind if QB Marcus Mariota missed a few days of training camp and that it would not be a big deal if he held out. There is a piece of language in the contract holding up what should be a four-year deal worth $21 million.
Fantasy Tip: There are five weeks until training camp starts, so do not expect this to be a big issue. Mariota should be ready as a QB2 at the start of the season.

Titans | TEN receiving interest in No. 2 pick |
Thu, 30 Apr 2015 10:43:45 -0700
Tennessee Titans general manager Ruston Webster said he has talked with three or four teams about the possibility of trading the second overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. Webster said there is no trade imminent at this point but would want a trade in place before the draft if the team decides to move the pick.
Fantasy Tip: The Titans could select Marcus Mariota if they decided to keep the pick. Mariota may be allowed to compete for the starting job if he joins the Titans but likely would not be more than a No. 2 fantasy quarterback next season.

Titans | Zach Mettenberger won't be traded |
Wed, 29 Apr 2015 01:04:36 -0700
Tennessee Titans QB Zach Mettenberger won't be traded even if they draft a quarterback in the first round, according to general manager Ruston Webster.
Fantasy Tip: Mettenberger will likely be a backup behind Jameis Winston or Marcus Mariota, whichever QB falls to the Titans. Even if the Titans go in another direction and don't draft a quarterback, Mettenberger hasn't proven he can be much more than a competent backup.

Titans | Haven't committed to Zach Mettenberger |
Thu, 19 Feb 2015 00:04:54 -0800
Tennessee Titans QB Zach Mettenberger has the backing of the coaching staff, but they have not committed to him as the starter for 2015. General manager Ruston Webster said the team will fully consider QB Jameis Winston or QB Marcus Mariota.
Fantasy Tip: This sounds like a team that wants Mettenberger to stay as a backup. Mettenberger should be avoided as a starting option in most fantasy leagues unless he ends up with the starting job. If that is the case, Mettenberger projects as a QB2.
