Texans | DeAndre Hopkins learning from Wes Welker

Fri, 26 May 2017 20:40:51 -0700

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins said it has been great learning from assistant coach Wes Welker.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins was the victim of poor quarterback play last year, but the WR1 upside is still there. If he slips past the first few rounds, don't hesitate to snatch him up.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins wanted Deshaun Watson

Thu, 27 Apr 2017 19:37:59 -0700

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins told the media prior to the 2017 NFL Draft that he would love to have QB Deshaun Watson throwing him the ball.

Fantasy Tip: If Watkins can break camp as the starter, he will be worth a flier as a low-end QB2 in redraft leagues. He has QB1 potential long term, giving him even more value in keeper formats and rookie drafts.

Texans | HOU intent on signing DeAndre Hopkins

Thu, 02 Mar 2017 08:45:49 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins is a player the team is intent on signing to a contract extension, according to general manager Rick Smith.

Fantasy Tip: Nuk saw a huge decrease in production last year, but a lot of it was due to spotty quarterback play. It still has some wondering if his 111-1,521-11 dominance in 2015 was an aberration with two modest lines on each side. The upside is there, and who's to complain if he falls to the low-end WR1 range?

Patriots | New England pursued DeAndre Hopkins

Sun, 05 Feb 2017 11:04:20 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins was a primary trade target for the New England Patriots during the season. Prior to dealing LB Jamie Collins to the Cleveland Browns for a conditional third-round pick, the Patriots asked for Hopkins in a potential trade for Collins.

Fantasy Tip: Collins' tendency to freelance and miss assignments went play any better for Texans defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel than it did for Patriots defensive coordinator Matt Patricia, but the offer is still interesting nonetheless. As it is now, Hopkins has stated he loves playing in Houston and the Texans are interested in extending his contract, so expect him to remain in Texas for the foreseeable future.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins may receive new deal

Wed, 01 Feb 2017 12:14:52 -0800

Houston Texans owner Bob McNair said the team will try to sign WR DeAndre Hopkins to a long-term extension this offseason.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins had a disappointing 2016 season and finished with 954 yards and four touchdowns during the regular season. He played better during the playoffs with 11 catches for 132 yards and one touchdown in two games. He will continue to be the team's top receiver in the passing game in 2017 and can be a low-end No. 1 or a No. 2 receiver in leagues depending on the quarterback situation.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins kept mostly in check

Sat, 14 Jan 2017 21:12:39 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins tallied six receptions for 65 yards in a Divisional Round loss to the New England Patriots.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins was able to find a better connection with Brock Osweiler late in the season and had nine targets in this one, but 2016 will still go down as a bust for "Nuk" in large part because Osweiler struggled so much in getting him the ball downfield. This offseason should present a nice buy-low window for patient owners, but those in redraft should probably consider him a WR2 at best until they see significant improvement from Osweiler.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins not on injury report

Fri, 13 Jan 2017 14:36:26 -0800

Updating a previous report, Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (knee) was limited during practice Friday, Jan. 13, but is not on the injury report for the Divisional round playoff game against the New England Patriots.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins will be a big factor in the passing game even though he is dealing with the knee injury. He likely will lead the team in targets during the game and can be considered a No. 2 receiver in fantasy leagues.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins limited, but will play

Fri, 13 Jan 2017 11:51:14 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (knee) was limited at practice for the third straight day Friday, Jan. 13, but he will be "set to go" in the team's Divisional Round playoff game Saturday, Jan. 14, versus the New England Patriots.

Fantasy Tip: He's not listed as questionable or doubtful, so this ensures Hopkins will be out there come kickoff. Nuk should see plenty of work in this one, with the Texans likely to throw his way a lot throughout the contest. If the expected scenario of the Patriots blowing out the Texans plays out, Houston could be passing virtually all game, which only adds up to extra looks for Hopkins. As a result, he does have fine WR1 potential this weekend.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins limited Thursday

Thu, 12 Jan 2017 16:07:16 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (knee) was a limited participant in practice for the second straight day Thursday, Jan. 12.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins played in all 16 games this season and he'll be out there on Saturday night. He's in an interesting spot, as the Texans are likely to get blown out in New England, meaning Houston could be throwing a lot more than usual to try and keep up. No matter how it plays out, Hopkins looks like a fine WR1 option this weekend for all formats.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins says knee is fine

Thu, 12 Jan 2017 12:36:57 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (knee) said his injured knee feels excellent.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins was limited during practice Wednesday, Jan. 11, but should see his normal workload against the New England Patriots. He posted solid numbers in the Wild Card playoff game but will be facing a tougher defense this week. Owners should consider him a No. 2 or No. 3 receiver in fantasy leagues.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins listed as limited

Wed, 11 Jan 2017 13:58:29 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (knee) was limited during practice Wednesday, Jan. 11.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins probably will be ready to play against the New England Patriots, but owners should check on his status later in the week. He recorded 67 yards and one touchdown in the Wild Card playoff game and will continue to be a main part of the passing game. Owners in fantasy leagues should consider him a No. 2 or No. 3 receiver.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins finds the end zone

Sat, 07 Jan 2017 17:06:44 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins finished with five catches for 67 yards and a touchdown in a Wild Card playoff win over the Oakland Raiders.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins had nine targets and showed better-than-usual chemistry with Brock Osweiler, who looked better than he has most of the season as Houston picked up the tempo to run out to an early lead. Hopkins' score with 1:20 left in the second quarter came on a quick 2-yard slant and essentially put the nail in the coffin for the Raiders. Whether the Texans face the Kansas City Chiefs or the New England Patriots on the road next week, Hopkins will hard-pressed to post anything more than WR3 production.

Texans | Nuke Hopkins ends on high note

Sun, 01 Jan 2017 16:20:08 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins posted seven receptions for 123 yards on 11 targets in the regular season finale in Week 17 against the Tennessee Titans.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins had a disappointing year by his standards, finishing with his lowest yardage total (954) and touchdowns (4) since his rookie campaign of 2013. While Hopkins was a disappointment in the regular season, he still has WR2 ability for those playing postseason pools and DFS.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins targeted often

Sun, 18 Dec 2016 15:59:55 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins finished with eight receptions for 87 yards in the Week 15 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and he was targeted 17 times.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins seemed to have quite the rapport with replacement QB Tom Savage, and you can expect that to continue into Week 16 if Savage is tabbed as the starter for Week 16. Hopkins remains more of a low-end WR2 at this point after a disappointing season from a fantasy perspective.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins not on injury report

Fri, 16 Dec 2016 18:26:15 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) was a limited participant in practice Friday, Dec. 16, and isn't listed on the Week 15 injury report.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins' value has been capped all year by the play of Brock Osweiler, and he is no more than a WR3 against Jacksonville in Week 15.

Texans | Limited practice for DeAndre Hopkins

Thu, 15 Dec 2016 17:32:24 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) was a limited participant in practice Thursday, Dec. 15.

Fantasy Tip: It has been a disappointing season for Hopkins, but if he suits up in Week 15, he is still worth starting as a WR3 in a favorable matchup against Jacksonville.

Texans | Limited practice for DeAndre Hopkins

Wed, 14 Dec 2016 16:57:13 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) was limited during practice Wednesday, Dec. 14.

Fantasy Tip: It is not known if Hopkins is in any danger of missing Week 15, so owners should check on his status later in the week. He is having a disappointing season and has posted at least 80 yards in only one game this season. Hopkins can still be a No. 3 receiver in most leagues, but owners should not count on a big game from him.

Texans | Just two grabs for Nuke Hopkins

Sun, 11 Dec 2016 21:51:54 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins had two catches for a team-high 33 yards on four targets in the Week 14 game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins has been a major disappointment this season, mostly due to erratic quarterback play. He should be treated as a low-end WR2 going forward despite his high-round draft position in most fantasy leagues.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins snaps TD drought

Sun, 04 Dec 2016 18:13:55 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins posted three receptions for 58 yards and a touchdown in the Week 13 game against the Green Bay Packers. He was targeted eight times.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins re-discovered the end zone for the first time since Week 5, snapping a six-game touchdown drought. He has three or more catches in each of his past eight outings, but he hasn't had a 100-yard game since Week 2. Still, he remains a must-start fantasy option heading into Week 14 for his high ceiling.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins totals 70 yards

Sun, 27 Nov 2016 22:05:16 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins posted five receptions for 70 yards on 10 targets in the Week 12 game against the San Diego Chargers.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins hasn't found the end zone in six games dating back to Week 5 in Minnesota, but the yardage total was his most since Week 6 and his third-highest total of the season. He has settled into more of a WR2 role for fantasy owners down the stretch, although he faces a favorable matchup in Week 13 against a beleaguered Green Bay pass defense.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins robbed of TD

Mon, 21 Nov 2016 21:50:51 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins posted five receptions for 58 yards on six targets in the Week 11 game against the Oakland Raiders Monday, Nov. 21, in Mexico City. He appeared to have a long touchdown in the first quarter, but a blown call on a sideline catch cost him what would have been a 60-yard touchdown.

Fantasy Tip: Fantasy owners haven't had much production from Hopkins this season, and they really needed that long scoring play. He should be treated more as a WR2 heading into Week 12 against the San Diego Chargers.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins again disappoints

Sun, 13 Nov 2016 15:12:32 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins caught five passes for 48 yards and did not score in a Week 10 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Fantasy Tip: Even with all of the terrible quarterback play Hopkins has endured in his career, he still mustered to post big fantasy points. That's not the case with Brock Osweiler in charge of the offense. The Texans visit the Oakland Raiders in Week 11.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins in line for big stats

Wed, 26 Oct 2016 21:24:25 -0700

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins will meet the Detroit Lions in Week 8 at home. The Lions are allowing 273.0 yards per game over seven games, and they have given up 18 pass touchdowns which is tied for most in the NFL. The Lions have also given up 22 or more pass plays of 20 or more yards.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins has had rather erratic production this season, something fantasy owners grabbing him in the first round were certainly not banking on seeing. Hopkins has just one score over the past five games, and he hasn't had a 100-yard game since Week 2. However, you likely spent a high draft pick on him and you need to keep rolling with Nuke despite some shaky quarterback play costing the receiver.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins does very little

Mon, 24 Oct 2016 21:36:13 -0700

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins posted five receptions for a team-high 36 yards in the Week 7 game against the Denver Broncos Monday, Oct. 24. He was targeted 12 times.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins has been a huge disappointment for fantasy owners, and he is Brock Osweiler just haven't built a good rapport. Nuke should not be dropped, and trading him would be a mistake since his fantasy value is at its nadir. Hang in there and hope the duo can jell sooner rather than later.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins ready to play

Sat, 22 Oct 2016 13:19:18 -0700

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) fully participated in practice Saturday, Oct. 22, and is not on the injury report for Week 7.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins has been targeted at least eight times in five of the six games this season and should continue to be an important part of the passing game. He should be considered a No. 2 receiver in most fantasy leagues.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins practices in full Friday

Fri, 21 Oct 2016 14:04:06 -0700

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) returned to a full practice Friday, Oct. 21, and is expected to see his regular complement of snaps in Week 7 versus the Denver Broncos.

Fantasy Tip: It appears Hopkins and Will Fuller will both be good to go Monday night, but the matchup for both is the most difficult one either player will see all season. Hopkins is simply too good to bench in fantasy, but expectations need to be set low. The Broncos have allowed only two receivers to top 60 yards and kept opposing wideouts out of the end zone since Week 1. As such, he's no better than a WR3 this week.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins added to injury report

Fri, 21 Oct 2016 06:30:20 -0700

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) was added to the injury report Thursday, Oct. 20, with a hamstring injury. He was limited in practice Thursday, but he's expected to play in Week 7 on Monday Night Football.

Fantasy Tip: Nuk has been pretty underwhelming with a 31-354-3 line this season, and he faces the stout Denver Broncos defense. He's a midrange WR1 option this week.

Texans | Nuk Hopkins produces touchdown

Sun, 09 Oct 2016 16:49:09 -0700

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins hauled in five receptions for 56 yards and a touchdown in the Week 5 game against the Minnesota Vikings. He was targeted nine times.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins hasn't been a producing like a Top 5 fantasy receiver, as he and Brock Osweiler haven't had the same kind of rapport as some of the other pass-catch combos in the league. Hopkins remains a WR1 in all fantasy leagues for his upside. He has just one 100-yard game in five tries, although he has at least found the end zone in three of his five outings.

Texans | Nuke Hopkins disappears in win

Sun, 02 Oct 2016 17:37:52 -0700

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins was targeted six times in the Week 4 game against the Tennessee Titans, but he managed just one reception for four yards.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins wasn't injured, he is just facing top coverage and double teams, as defenses dare others to beat them. Hopkins has just one 100-yard game this season, and he hasn't scored since Week 2. He remains a WR1 in most fantasy leagues for his potential, and as Will Fuller continues to emerge it might take some of the doubles off of Hopkins allowing him more room to operate.

Texans | Nuke Hopkins finds the end zone

Sun, 11 Sep 2016 21:55:30 -0700

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins posted five receptions for 54 yards and a touchdown in the Week 1 win against the Chicago Bears.

Fantasy Tip: Nuke took a backseat to Will Fuller, who had nearly double the amount of receiving yards in the opener. That's because Hopkins faced double teams while the rookie was freed up. If Fuller continues to produce, Hopkins should see more single coverages allowing him to produce like a first-round fantasy pick. He remains a must-start in all fantasy formats across the board.

Texans | Jaelen Strong in starting position

Tue, 09 Aug 2016 16:05:07 -0700

Houston Texans WR Jaelen Strong was listed as the No. 2 wide receiver opposite WR DeAndre Hopkins on Houston's initial depth chart.

Fantasy Tip: Strong is a sleeper candidate heading into his second professional season. He had a nose for the endzone last year and is in better condition this season. Will Fuller will more than likely be Strong's main competition, but Strong makes is an attractive target as a deep flier in later rounds of fantasy drafts.

Texans | Houston not talking to DeAndre Hopkins

Sat, 06 Aug 2016 10:48:40 -0700

Houston Texans general manager Rick Smith said the team has not started discussions with WR DeAndre Hopkins on a new contract. "There is not a negotiation happening at this point," Smith said on NFL Network's Inside Training Camp Live. "He's under contract for two more years."

Fantasy Tip: The 24-year-old Hopkins had 111 receptions, 1,521 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns last season despite the Texans' shaky quarterback situation and should be viewed as a high-end WR1 in all fantasy formats.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins will get his in time

Mon, 01 Aug 2016 23:43:59 -0700

Updating previous reports, Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins will have his contract addressed at the proper time, according to owner Bob McNair. "We'll deal with his contract at the proper time," McNair said. "We take care of our players and we'll take care of him."

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins is an elite receiver coming off of a 111-1,521-11 season in which he didn't really have a quarterback. The Texans believe they have their franchise QB in Brock Osweiler now, and Hopkins remains a high-end WR1.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins activated

Sun, 31 Jul 2016 23:32:01 -0700

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins was activated from the Reserve/Did Not Report list Sunday, July 31. The team declined offering him a contract extension. He's due a non-guaranteed $1 million base salary this season and a $445,004 roster bonus on the fifth day of training camp. Hopkins was subject to $40,000 fines for each missed day of camp.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins had a stellar 111-1,521-11 season in 2015. He is one of the best receivers in fantasy and should remain firmly entrenched in the WR1 window.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins returning

Sun, 31 Jul 2016 11:51:23 -0700

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins will end his holdout and return to the Texans Sunday, July 31, the first day of training camp. Hopkins expressed his disappointment in Houston's lack of contract negotiations, but he also stated his desire to help the Texans win a Super Bowl.

Fantasy Tip: We could see Hopkins try to prove himself even more in 2016, not that he still needs to prove himself. He'll want to show the Texans he deserves a long-term contract and should be considered late in the first round or early in the second round of fantasy drafts.

Sat, 30 Jul 2016 16:18:04 -0700

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins was placed on the Reserve/Did Not Report list Saturday, July 30.

Fantasy Tip: Nuk is reportedly going to forfeit a $445,000 roster bonus due to the holdout. It doesn't affect his fantasy stock as a high-end WR1 for now.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins has roster bonus pending

Sat, 30 Jul 2016 11:44:10 -0700

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins has a $445,000 roster bonus due Thursday, Aug. 4, if he is on the 90-man roster. If he is placed on the Reserve/Did Not Report list, he will not earn the roster bonus.

Fantasy Tip: It's a waiting game for Hopkins and the Texans. He's still their best receiver, though, and should still be considered late in the first round or early in the second round of fantasy drafts.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins not at training camp

Sat, 30 Jul 2016 08:21:38 -0700

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins did not report to training camp because he is unhappy with his contract and the team is not willing to negotiate an extension. Hopkins can be fined $40,000 for each day of camp he misses.

Fantasy Tip: Owners will need to keep an eye on the situation to see how long Hopkins is willing to sit out because of his contract. Hopkins should still be selected in one of the first few rounds of fantasy drafts and should be one of the top performers at the position.

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins said he is not looking for a "certain range" for his next contract but wants to be paid what he is worth. General manager Rick Smith said he is hopeful Hopkins will be around for a long time.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins has developed into one of the top receivers in the game, and he is a WR1 in any format.

Texans | Cecil Shorts admired for toughness

Fri, 10 Jun 2016 20:21:26 -0700

Houston Texans WR Cecil Shorts was praised by WR DeAndre Hopkins for his toughness. "Even if he's hurt, he's going to go out there," Hopkins said. "You'll have to tell him to go on the sideline and get checked out. He's a hard worker."

Fantasy Tip: Houston added some receivers in the early rounds of the draft, and Shorts will likely be pushed further down the depth chart sooner rather than later. At best, he is a late-round flier.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins, Osweiler progressing

Mon, 06 Jun 2016 12:41:25 -0700

Houston Texans QB Brock Osweiler and WR DeAndre Hopkins have progressed in their chemistry, according to head coach Bill O'Brien, who said both players are working extremely hard.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins has proven that he can succeed no matter who is throwing the football. He's still by far their best receiving option and worth a look in the mid-WR1 group. Osweiler, on the other hand, should not be drafted as a starting fantasy quarterback in his first season with the Texans.

Texans | More muscle for DeAndre Hopkins

Mon, 23 May 2016 14:46:28 -0700

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins said he has gained more weight by adding muscle this offseason.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins was already a nightmare for opposing secondaries. Now he might be able to better handle double-teams. The Texans do have a new-look offense with Brock Osweiler and Lamar Miller, but Hopkins should still be a focal point and is a WR1 option in fantasy drafts.

Texans | No extension imminent for DeAndre Hopkins

Mon, 09 May 2016 10:55:40 -0700

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins and the Texans aren't close on a contract extension after the Texans exercised Hopkins' fifth-year option worth $7.915 million, according to a source. He's in the third year of a $7.637 million rookie contract that includes a $3.926 million signing bonus and $6.181 million guaranteed. Hopkins is confident both sides will work something out.

Fantasy Tip: The Texans have plenty of time to work something out with one of the best emerging young receivers in the game. Hopkins has put up elite wideout numbers while working with very mediocre quarterbacks in his time with Houston. The addition of Brock Osweiler in 2016 could push Hopkins to an even higher ceiling, and the star receiver will have even more help across the field in rookie Will Fuller. Hopkins is a top-five fantasy receiver.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins' option exercised

Fri, 15 Apr 2016 15:35:47 -0700

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins' fifth-year option was exercised Friday, April 15. He is scheduled to make $7.915 million in 2017.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins was one of the best wide receivers in 2015 despite playing with multiple quarterbacks and should continue his solid play with Brock Osweiler. Hopkins should be selected in one of the first few rounds of all drafts next season.

Texans | Brock Osweiler looking good

Thu, 07 Apr 2016 12:03:36 -0700

Houston Texans QB Brock Osweiler is looking good during the team's offseason workouts, according to a source. WR DeAndre Hopkins has been off the charts, too.

Fantasy Tip: Osweiler had some success in his first seven NFL starts with the Denver Broncos last year, but he was inconsistent overall. He has the potential to become a low-end QB1 in the right matchups in 2016, but he's safer taken as a backup QB. Hopkins proved he is an elite WR1 and will now have one of the more talented quarterbacks he's ever had throwing to him in Houston.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins wants to stay in Houston

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins said he wants to spend his entire career with the Texans. "If I can play my whole career here, I would. I love this place," Hopkins said.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins had 111 catches for a career-high 1,521 yards and 11 touchdowns with four different mediocre quarterbacks in 2015. This guy is the real deal. Hopkins has emerged as an elite wideout and is worth a first-round fantasy selection in 2016.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins looking to improve

Sun, 14 Feb 2016 10:12:16 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins said he is working on improving his yards after catch total this offseason since he ranked 118th among NFL players in the category with 201 yards. He said he also wants to work on being a better team leader.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins was one of the top receivers in the NFL this past season and will continue to be a main focus in Houston's offense. Hopkins likely will be one of the first receivers selected in drafts next season and probably will be selected in one of the first three rounds.

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins, who had three catches for 71 yards and a touchdown in the Pro Bowl, received praise from former WR Michael Irvin. "We don't know what the ceiling is," Irvin said. "You see the skillset, where he can catch footballs from anyplace in the world. There is no telling what the ceiling can be. He'll be rewriting a lot of records in the NFL." Hopkins had 111 catches for 1,521 yards and a franchise-record 11 touchdowns in 2015. Hopkins caught a touchdown from four different quarterbacks this year, which is an NFL record.

Fantasy Tip: Irvin is right, Hopkins' ceiling remains incredibly high. Just imagine if he had a strong quarterback slinging him passes on a regular basis. Even with Houston's QB position in flux, Hopkins has solidified his position as an elite fantasy receiver, and he's worth consideration in the first round of drafts.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins could burn Chiefs

Fri, 08 Jan 2016 19:14:54 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins faces the Kansas City Chiefs in the wild-card round of the playoffs Saturday, Jan. 9, and the Chiefs are allowing the second-most yards per game to opposing No. 1 receivers this season.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins ($9,200, 18.4% of cap) had a monster regular season despite a revolving door at quarterback, and he should see more than enough targets against the Chiefs to justify his hefty price tag at FantasyScore.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins likely will play

Fri, 08 Jan 2016 12:45:54 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (hand) fully participated in the team's walkthrough Friday, Jan. 8, and is listed as probable for the wild-card game against the Kansas City Chiefs Saturday, Jan. 9.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins ($9,200, 18.4% of cap) was successful with every quarterback he played with this season and should have a big role in the team's offense strategy. Hopkins has a big price tag on FantasyScore but should be a solid option if owners are willing to spend the money.
