Texans | DeAndre Hopkins drops contract hints

Sat, 23 Jul 2016 18:47:33 -0700

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins said he is not looking for a "certain range" for his next contract but wants to be paid what he is worth. General manager Rick Smith said he is hopeful Hopkins will be around for a long time.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins has developed into one of the top receivers in the game, and he is a WR1 in any format.

Texans | Cecil Shorts admired for toughness

Fri, 10 Jun 2016 20:21:26 -0700

Houston Texans WR Cecil Shorts was praised by WR DeAndre Hopkins for his toughness. "Even if he's hurt, he's going to go out there," Hopkins said. "You'll have to tell him to go on the sideline and get checked out. He's a hard worker."

Fantasy Tip: Houston added some receivers in the early rounds of the draft, and Shorts will likely be pushed further down the depth chart sooner rather than later. At best, he is a late-round flier.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins, Osweiler progressing

Mon, 06 Jun 2016 12:41:25 -0700

Houston Texans QB Brock Osweiler and WR DeAndre Hopkins have progressed in their chemistry, according to head coach Bill O'Brien, who said both players are working extremely hard.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins has proven that he can succeed no matter who is throwing the football. He's still by far their best receiving option and worth a look in the mid-WR1 group. Osweiler, on the other hand, should not be drafted as a starting fantasy quarterback in his first season with the Texans.

Texans | More muscle for DeAndre Hopkins

Mon, 23 May 2016 14:46:28 -0700

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins said he has gained more weight by adding muscle this offseason.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins was already a nightmare for opposing secondaries. Now he might be able to better handle double-teams. The Texans do have a new-look offense with Brock Osweiler and Lamar Miller, but Hopkins should still be a focal point and is a WR1 option in fantasy drafts.

Texans | No extension imminent for DeAndre Hopkins

Mon, 09 May 2016 10:55:40 -0700

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins and the Texans aren't close on a contract extension after the Texans exercised Hopkins' fifth-year option worth $7.915 million, according to a source. He's in the third year of a $7.637 million rookie contract that includes a $3.926 million signing bonus and $6.181 million guaranteed. Hopkins is confident both sides will work something out.

Fantasy Tip: The Texans have plenty of time to work something out with one of the best emerging young receivers in the game. Hopkins has put up elite wideout numbers while working with very mediocre quarterbacks in his time with Houston. The addition of Brock Osweiler in 2016 could push Hopkins to an even higher ceiling, and the star receiver will have even more help across the field in rookie Will Fuller. Hopkins is a top-five fantasy receiver.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins' option exercised

Fri, 15 Apr 2016 15:35:47 -0700

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins' fifth-year option was exercised Friday, April 15. He is scheduled to make $7.915 million in 2017.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins was one of the best wide receivers in 2015 despite playing with multiple quarterbacks and should continue his solid play with Brock Osweiler. Hopkins should be selected in one of the first few rounds of all drafts next season.

Texans | Brock Osweiler looking good

Thu, 07 Apr 2016 12:03:36 -0700

Houston Texans QB Brock Osweiler is looking good during the team's offseason workouts, according to a source. WR DeAndre Hopkins has been off the charts, too.

Fantasy Tip: Osweiler had some success in his first seven NFL starts with the Denver Broncos last year, but he was inconsistent overall. He has the potential to become a low-end QB1 in the right matchups in 2016, but he's safer taken as a backup QB. Hopkins proved he is an elite WR1 and will now have one of the more talented quarterbacks he's ever had throwing to him in Houston.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins wants to stay in Houston

Mon, 15 Feb 2016 09:20:16 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins said he wants to spend his entire career with the Texans. "If I can play my whole career here, I would. I love this place," Hopkins said.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins had 111 catches for a career-high 1,521 yards and 11 touchdowns with four different mediocre quarterbacks in 2015. This guy is the real deal. Hopkins has emerged as an elite wideout and is worth a first-round fantasy selection in 2016.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins looking to improve

Sun, 14 Feb 2016 10:12:16 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins said he is working on improving his yards after catch total this offseason since he ranked 118th among NFL players in the category with 201 yards. He said he also wants to work on being a better team leader.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins was one of the top receivers in the NFL this past season and will continue to be a main focus in Houston's offense. Hopkins likely will be one of the first receivers selected in drafts next season and probably will be selected in one of the first three rounds.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins receives praise

Mon, 01 Feb 2016 10:25:24 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins, who had three catches for 71 yards and a touchdown in the Pro Bowl, received praise from former WR Michael Irvin. "We don't know what the ceiling is," Irvin said. "You see the skillset, where he can catch footballs from anyplace in the world. There is no telling what the ceiling can be. He'll be rewriting a lot of records in the NFL." Hopkins had 111 catches for 1,521 yards and a franchise-record 11 touchdowns in 2015. Hopkins caught a touchdown from four different quarterbacks this year, which is an NFL record.

Fantasy Tip: Irvin is right, Hopkins' ceiling remains incredibly high. Just imagine if he had a strong quarterback slinging him passes on a regular basis. Even with Houston's QB position in flux, Hopkins has solidified his position as an elite fantasy receiver, and he's worth consideration in the first round of drafts.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins could burn Chiefs

Fri, 08 Jan 2016 19:14:54 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins faces the Kansas City Chiefs in the wild-card round of the playoffs Saturday, Jan. 9, and the Chiefs are allowing the second-most yards per game to opposing No. 1 receivers this season.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins ($9,200, 18.4% of cap) had a monster regular season despite a revolving door at quarterback, and he should see more than enough targets against the Chiefs to justify his hefty price tag at FantasyScore.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins likely will play

Fri, 08 Jan 2016 12:45:54 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (hand) fully participated in the team's walkthrough Friday, Jan. 8, and is listed as probable for the wild-card game against the Kansas City Chiefs Saturday, Jan. 9.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins ($9,200, 18.4% of cap) was successful with every quarterback he played with this season and should have a big role in the team's offense strategy. Hopkins has a big price tag on FantasyScore but should be a solid option if owners are willing to spend the money.

Texans | Full practice for three Texans

Thu, 07 Jan 2016 13:24:25 -0800

Houston Texans WRs DeAndre Hopkins (hand) and Cecil Shorts (hamstring) and RB Chris Polk (knee) were full participants in practice Thursday, Jan. 7.

Fantasy Tip: It looks like the Texans will have their three top wide receivers playing together in the playoffs, assuming Nate Washington is good to go. Hopkins ($9,200, 18.4% of cap) is obviously a top wide receiver play this week against the Kansas City Chiefs, but Shorts ($3,700, 7.4%) is a decent sleeper, especially for a PPR scoring format like FantasyScore. As for Polk, he may not be utilized enough with Alfred Blue and Jonathan Grimes also in the mix, so there are better options at running back than him.

Texans | Three Texans limited Wednesday

Wed, 06 Jan 2016 13:31:33 -0800

Houston Texans WRs DeAndre Hopkins (hand) and Cecil Shorts (hamstring) and RB Alfred Blue (calf) were limited in practice Wednesday, Jan. 6.

Fantasy Tip: It's hard to believe that any of these guys would miss the playoffs this Saturday. It will be promising if any of them have a full practice, but they should still be able to play, particularly Hopkins. The Kansas City Chiefs are in the top ten in fantasy points allowed to wide receivers, too, so Hopkins remains a solid play for those in playoff leagues. Blue, on the other hand, is not an advisable option as the Chiefs boast a top-five fantasy defense against running backs.

Texans | Nuke Hopkins posts 89 yards

Sun, 03 Jan 2016 18:35:28 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins hauled in a game-high seven receptions for 89 yards in the Week 17 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was targeted 12 times.

Fantasy Tip: Nuke will be a popular FantasyScore option heading into the first round of the NFL playoffs, as he catches plenty of balls and he can rack up big yardage totals and scores against a Kansas City Chiefs defense which allowed 24 passing touchdowns this season.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins makes history

Thu, 31 Dec 2015 10:15:10 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins is the first player in NFL history to have four 100-yard receiving games with four different starting quarterbacks in a season.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins ($8,800, 17.6% of cap) is a stud WR1 candidate every week on FantasyScore, against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 17.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins plays well again

Sun, 27 Dec 2015 15:42:06 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins caught seven passes for 117 yards and one touchdown against the Tennessee Titans in Week 16.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins has played well not matter the quarterback he is playing with and has at least five receptions in all but one game this season. He will be facing the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 17 and should be a starting option in all leagues.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins eyeing long-term extension

Thu, 24 Dec 2015 06:41:42 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins' agent Hadley Engelhard met with the organization, and the receiver is expected to eventually sign a lucrative long-term contract extension, but nothing is imminent. Hopkins enters the final year of his contract in 2016, and then the Texans can pick up a fifth-year team option for the 2017 season.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins ($8,800, 17.6% of cap) has been the focal point of the Texans offense for much of the season, especially with veteran RB Arian Foster playing just four games. Hopkins sits with 97 receptions, 1315 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns and has been a top-five wideout for the year. The Houston quarterback situation is a little concerning, but it hasn't slowed Hopkins this year, and he has caught passes from four different signal callers. He projects as a slam-dunk No. 1 WR in all fantasy formats through the rest of this season and into 2016.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins plays well

Sun, 20 Dec 2015 15:03:34 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins caught eight passes for 94 yards against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 15.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins has caught at least five passes in all but one game this season and has at least 80 yards receiving in nine games. Hopkins may have a new quarterback to work with against the Tennessee Titans in Week 16 but should still be a starting option.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins not too productive

Sun, 13 Dec 2015 22:49:28 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins had three grabs for 52 yards in the Week 14 game against the New England Patriots. He was targeted six times.

Fantasy Tip: The Patriots took Hopkins out of the mix for the most part, something they tend to do against the opposition's top receiving target. He will look to bounce back in Week 15 against the Indianapolis Colts, a team with a banged up secondary.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins starting Sunday night

Sun, 13 Dec 2015 16:35:49 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) is active and will start in the Week 14 game against the New England Patriots.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins should be a strong FantasyScore option, but remember the Patriots are one of the best teams to neutralize the top receiving option on the opposition and force secondary options to beat them.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins, Cecil Shorts probable

Fri, 11 Dec 2015 16:11:39 -0800

Houston Texans WRs DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) and Cecil Shorts (hamstring) are both probable to face the New England Patriots in Week 14. Hopkins was limited in practice Friday, Dec. 11, while Shorts practiced in full.

Fantasy Tip: The Texans will surely have to pass often to keep up with a Patriots team trying to end a two-game skid. That means Hopkins ($8,800, 17.6% of cap) should remain heavily involved, although the Pats will do everything in their power to shut him down. Shorts ($2,900, 5.8% of cap) has deep sleeper potential after a six-catch, 10-target, 91-yard game last week.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins should be in uniform

Fri, 04 Dec 2015 12:56:38 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 4, and is listed as probable for the Week 13 game against the Buffalo Bills.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins ($8,800, 17.6% of cap) is coming off his worst game of the season in terms of receiving yards in Week 12 but has been one of the best fantasy receivers in 2015. He will be facing a favorable matchup this week and should be a starting option in most leagues.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins practices in full

Thu, 03 Dec 2015 16:17:38 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) practiced in full Thursday, Dec. 3, after being limited Wednesday, Dec. 2.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins ($8,800, 17.6% of cap) had his worst game of the season last week in a game that Houston won comfortably. In Week 13 against the Buffalo Bills, expect Hopkins to return to double-digit targets and big-time production. Paying up for him at FantasyScore won't end in disappointment.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins limited Wednesday

Wed, 02 Dec 2015 15:44:47 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) was limited in practice Wednesday, Dec. 2.

Fantasy Tip: The hamstring ailment doesn't sound like too big of a deal, and as long as Hopkins doesn't regress he should be good to go this week. Hopkins ($8,800, 17.6% of cap) is a recommended start against a mediocre Buffalo Bills pass defense.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins a frequent target

Mon, 30 Nov 2015 10:11:17 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins has been targeted 11 or more times in every game this season.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins ($8,800, 17.6% of cap) had a rare quiet game in Week 12 and faces a Buffalo Bills team that might give you some pause this week. The Bills have actually been in the lower half of the league at defending the position the last five weeks. Hopkins is a weekly consideration on FantasyScore.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins held in check

Sun, 29 Nov 2015 18:50:10 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins finished with five catches for 36 yards in a 24-6 win over the New Orleans Saints in Week 12.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins had his lowest yardage total of the season, and Hopkins now has just one 100-yard game in his last five contests. However, he has found the end zone four times during the same stretch, so he hasn't been a bust at FantasyScore by any means.

Texans | Big week for DeAndre Hopkins?

Wed, 25 Nov 2015 21:56:40 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins will face the New Orleans Saints in Week 12. The Saints rank 31st in the NFL against the pass, allowing 293.1 yards per game while giving up 28 touchdowns, worst in the NFL. They have also given up 13 pass plays of 20 or more yards with a league-high 13 pass plays of 40 or more yards.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins ($8,800, 17.6% of cap) will get his quarterback back under center, too, as Brian Hoyer returns from concussion. Look for a huge stat line for Hopkins and his FantasyScore owners.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins scores twice

Sun, 22 Nov 2015 16:57:29 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins caught five passes for 118 yards and two touchdowns in a 24-17 win over the New York Jets in Week 11.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins had gone three straight games without reaching 100 yards, but he has found the end zone in three straight. He has already surpassed 1,000 yards for the year, and he remains of the top options at his position at FantasyScore.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins probable for Sunday

Fri, 20 Nov 2015 13:32:33 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (knee) was limited in practice Friday, Nov. 20, but is listed as probable for Week 11 against the New York Jets.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins ($8,800, 17.6% of cap) has bust written all over him this week with T.J. Yates at quarterback while going up against Darrelle Revis. The right move is to avoid him on FantasyScore, as he could be stranded on Revis Island.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins should be able to play

Thu, 19 Nov 2015 11:11:33 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (knee) should be "ready to go" in Week 11 against the New York Jets despite missing two practices this week, according to head coach Bill O'Brien. Hopkins played all 63 offensive snaps in Week 10 against the Cincinnati Bengals Monday, Nov. 16.

Fantasy Tip: At Hopkins' ($8,800, 17.6% of cap) lofty FantasyScore price, this is shaping up to be a weekend to avoid him. Not only will T.J. Yates start at quarterback, but Hopkins isn't 100% healthy and will be matched up with shutdown corner Darrelle Revis.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins out again Thursday

Thu, 19 Nov 2015 10:19:14 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (knee) was out of practice Thursday, Nov. 19, working off to the side.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins ($8,800, 17.6% of cap) could draw a matchup with Darrelle Revis of the New York Jets in Week 11 with T.J. Yates under center. There might be too many negative factors to use him on FantasyScore this week.

Texans | No practice for DeAndre Hopkins

Wed, 18 Nov 2015 12:45:03 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (knee) did not practice Wednesday, Nov. 18.

Fantasy Tip: This is turning into a pretty concerning week for Hopkins ($8,800, 17.6% of cap). He's dealing with a sudden knee injury, his starting quarterback may not be playing and he'll probably be facing Darrelle Revis. Lower your expectations for Hopkins in Week 11.

Texans | Nuke Hopkins makes circus catch

Mon, 16 Nov 2015 21:42:56 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins posted five receptions for 57 yards and a touchdown in the Week 10 game against the Cincinnati Bengals Monday, Nov. 16. He was targeted a game-high 11 times.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins was the only one to have a decent FantasyScore line in the Monday night game. He remains a solid fantasy option most nights, but he could have lesser appeal if T.J. Yates makes the start in Week 11.

Comment (0) | Share: Tweet!Share on Facebook | Source: The Associated Press

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins becoming elite receiver

Fri, 13 Nov 2015 09:33:01 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins has 870 yards receiving this year with six touchdowns in eight games in his third year in the NFL, and he had four straight 100-yard games to tie a franchise record in 2015. Hopkins, as a result, has seen more double teams from opposing defenses.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins ($8,800, 17.6% of cap) is putting up great numbers with a mediocre quarterback, too, which makes it even more impressive. It doesn't hurt that he's seen at least 11 targets in every game this year and has seen as many as 22 looks in a game. He faces a tough Cincinnati Bengals defense Monday night in Week 10, but you can't argue with the volume in daily leagues like FantasyScore.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins reaches milestone

Sun, 01 Nov 2015 13:23:46 -0800

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins is ahead of WR Andre Johnson's pace for yardage gained over his first three seasons as a Texan. Hopkins had 94 yards Sunday, Nov. 1, in a 20-6 win over the Tennessee Titans. Hopkins now has 3,076 yards in 40 games to Johnson's 2,806 yards in 45 games.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins ($8,500, 17.0% of cap) has been one of the big bright spots in an otherwise blah season for the Texans. As long as he and QB Brian Hoyer have rapport, Hopkins is worth starting.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins comes up big again

Sun, 18 Oct 2015 17:17:24 -0700

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins had 10 catches for 148 yards and two touchdowns in a 31-20 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in week 6.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins ($8,000, 16.0% of cap) topped 100 yards for the fourth consecutive game, and he continues to receive a ton of targets. He is one of the safest plays at any position at FantasyScore.

Texans | Brian Hoyer solid on third down

Sun, 18 Oct 2015 13:59:48 -0700

Houston Texans QB Brian Hoyer threw three touchdown passes on third down during his team's 31-20 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, Oct. 18. Two of those touchdowns went to WR DeAndre Hopkins.

Fantasy Tip: Hoyer ($4,500, 9.0% of cap) should still be a buyer beware for one reason. This was the Jaguars that Houston faced. Still, there's no question Hoyer is showing some signs of improvement over the past two weeks. He is priced low enough in FantasyScore that Hoyer is worth the low cost.

Texans | Historic start for DeAndre Hopkins

Tue, 13 Oct 2015 16:06:09 -0700

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins' 42 catches and 578 yards are the most in Texans' history through five games.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins ($8,000, 16.0% of cap) sees a plethora of targets every game and has turned into an every-week starter despite subpart quarterback play. He's worth a start no matter what his price is and who his opponent is.

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins had 11 catches on 14 targets for 169 yards in a 27-20 loss to the Indianapolis Colts in Week 5.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins ($7,600, 15.2% of cap) has topped 100 yards in three straight games, and he has seen at least 11 targets in all five games this year. He has been targeted early and often by whomever has been under center for Houston, making him one of the safest receiving options at FantasyScore.

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins had nine catches on 22 targets for 157 yards in a 48-21 loss to the Atlanta Falcons in Week 4.

Fantasy Tip: Despite suspect quarterback play, Hopkins ($7,300, 14.6% of cap) is enjoying a strong season. He has logged at least 11 targets in all four games, making him a reliable option at FantasyScore at the receiver position.

Sun, 27 Sep 2015 18:37:46 -0700

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins had eight catches for 101 yards and a touchdown in a 19-9 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 3.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins ($7,500, 15.0% of cap) is off to a strong start in 2015, and he has logged at least 11 targets in all three games. He deserves heavy consideration at FantasyScore in Week 4 when the Texans face the shaky defense of the Atlanta Falcons.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins with a probable tag

Fri, 25 Sep 2015 13:56:36 -0700

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (concussion) practiced in full Friday, Sept. 25, and is probable for Week 3 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins ($7,500, 15.0% of cap) must still be cleared by a doctor before playing Sunday, but it looks like it'll happen. Concussions are tricky, though, making Hopkins a weak FantasyScore play. Tampa has also allowed only 202 passing yards per game, which ranks fifth in the league after two games.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins returns to practice

Fri, 25 Sep 2015 10:41:26 -0700

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (concussion) returned to practice Friday, Sept. 25, after being in the concussion protocol this week. He leads the Texans with 14 catches for 151 yards and two touchdowns through two weeks.

Fantasy Tip: Just because Hopkins ($7,500, 15.0% of cap) practiced Friday doesn't mean he'll necessarily play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 3. Concussions are tricky and serious. Hopkins is a very dangerous pick on FantasyScore this weekend.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins misses practice

Thu, 24 Sep 2015 15:30:10 -0700

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (concussion) did not practice Thursday, Sept. 24. Head coach Bill O'Brien has already said Hopkins looks good as he goes through concussion protocol.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins ($7,500, 15.0% of cap) will need to be monitored before Sunday's game versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He's highly priced on FantasyScore, so there may be better, safer options at wide receiver this week.

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (concussion) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 23.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins ($7,500, 15.0% of cap) will have to pass the concussion tests in order to return to the field, so owners will need to monitor his progress this week. Hopkins is the team's No. 1 receiver but will be a risky option in Week 3 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers because of the injury.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins scores twice

Sun, 13 Sep 2015 17:56:28 -0700

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins finished with nine catches for 98 yards and two touchdowns in a 27-20 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs Sunday, Sept. 13.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins ($6,100, 12.2% of cap) looked every bit the part of a No. 1 receiver in Week 1, and with Andre Johnson ($5,300, 10.6% of cap) now in Indianapolis, Hopkins should be worth starting on a weekly basis at FantasyScore.

Texans | DeAndre Hopkins wants zero drops

Mon, 07 Sep 2015 12:17:08 -0700

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins said his goal for the 2015 season is to not drop the ball, but said he's focused on the team's goals first.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins is the Texan's go-to receiver now with Andre Johnson in Indianapolis. There's no question Hopkins ($6,100, 12.2% of cap) has the talent to be a No. 1 wide receiver. Subpar quarterback play could stunt his ceiling, though. He's still a decent play in Week 1 against the Kansas City Chiefs on FantasyScore. Hopkins should see plenty of targets this year.

Texans | Nuke, Nate Washington top depth chart

Mon, 03 Aug 2015 22:53:33 -0700

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins and WR Nate Washington are atop the depth chart right now, head coach Bill O'Brien said Monday, Aug. 3.

Fantasy Tip: Hopkins will be the receiver fantasy owners target early on draft day, but there could be some value with Washington in the middle to late rounds if he can maintain a starting role. You could do worse for your WR4 or flex fantasy option in standard fantasy formats.
