Fri, 17 May 2013 13:24:03 -0700 Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly indicated TEs Brent Celek, Zach Ertz and James Casey are expected to receive playing time during games this season. Fantasy Tip: Even though they are all expected to see playing time, none are considered No. 1 fantasy tight ends. Celek could be worth a late-round flier that can be a No. 2 tight end because of his chemistry with QB Michael Vick. Casey should get a decent amount of receptions this season but should be taken in only very deep leagues. Casey could be a waiver wire option early in the season. Ertz is not expected to have a lot of fantasy value this season.

Fri, 26 Apr 2013 15:50:02 -0700 The Philadelphia Eagles selected Stanford TE Zach Ertz with the 35th overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. Fantasy Tip: Ertz will join Brent Celek as another tight end for Chip Kelly in Philadelphia. He may be a better tight end prospect for fantasy football purposes than his fellow teammate, Coby Fleener, was last season for the Indianapolis Colts. It all depends on how the Eagles choose to utilize him with their new-look offense in 2013.

Wed, 20 Mar 2013 09:41:07 -0700 San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh, offensive coordinator Greg Roman and tight ends coach Reggie Davis informally met with Stanford TE Zach Ertz at the NFL Scouting Combine.
Sun, 03 Mar 2013 18:05:40 -0800 Stanford TE Zach Ertz might hear his name called near the end of the first round in the NFL Draft. However, he is basically considered a wide receiver due to his poor blocking ability according to one NFL scout. "I guess it depends on the team," a scout said Sunday, March 3. "To me, he's a big, possession wide receiver. That's what he is. You put him out there, and it's like having three wide receivers on the field. He can't block at all. He has just average speed for the position, but he does run great routes, and there is something to be said for that."
