Jacksonville Jaguars general manager Dave Caldwell does not want his team participating in HBO's Hard Knocks training camp show. "That's a good question. Our reaction would be that we would try to defer," Caldwell said. "We take a lot of pride in our culture and we're very particular on who we bring into this organization. So we've been able to build a lot of trust from our coaching staff to our players and they know, our players know we have their best interests at heart. It's hard to build trust with cameras omnipresence," he said.

Jacksonville Jaguars general manager Dave Caldwell said if you try to force picking a quarterback at a certain point in a draft, you can make a mistake. "In today's day and age, if you can't get Peyton Manning or Matt Ryan, and they might not be available for the next 10 or 15 years, then you have to adapt and build the roster and do what's best for the organization," Caldwell said. "And if a quarterback presents itself later in the draft, you take and develop him. Having a franchise guy makes the world a lot easier, though. It can erase a lot of mistakes you make. But if you force it, you can screw it up. I don't know if we're going to find that guy, but I hope we do."

Jacksonville Jaguars general manager Dave Caldwell insists he will not take a quarterback in the first two rounds of the NFL Draft in May, with the only exception being if the quarterback is the best value on the board. He won't pass up a player he has ranked at a higher position. "If we're going to give into pressure (to take a quarterback high if they have other players rated higher), we're going to make the wrong decision,'' Caldwell said. "Our vision is to build a franchise that can sustain and win over a period of time. In that process, if a quarterback presents himself, we'll grab him.''
