"He's a young man that's got to work on a lot of things from footwork to progressions to plays to formations, everything. Defenses in the NFL are obviously a little different. He's got to work on that too. He's got to work on everything," Hackett said.

"The funny thing is it's easier to learn than the offense I had at Florida State," he said. "It's a true West Coast-type progression offense. That's really what I wanted when I was coming through the pre-draft process. I wanted something that I could just go in and say 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, check it down and run it. That's it, it's that simple. I love it." Manuel has spent extensive time working with offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett. Fantasy Tip: Manuel will compete with Kevin Kolb and Tarvaris Jackson for the starting QB job this summer. If Manuel wins it, consider him a weak backup quarterback in just his rookie season. Manuel could be a decent signal caller in the long term, but Buffalo will need a proven receiver opposite Stevie Johnson in order to make a significant impact.

That solidified the team's feelings Manuel could do well in poor weather.

The Philadelphia Eagles, Cleveland Browns, Buffalo Bills and New York Jets have shown interest and they all pick within the first 15 picks. "They want me pretty bad," Manuel said of the Eagles. Manuel would be an extreme reach for Philadelphia's fourth overall pick, though, since they already have QBs Michael Vick and Nick Foles on roster. However, some analysts think Manuel will be gone by the Eagles' 35th overall pick in the second round. The Jets also have two first-round picks, the Browns pick sixth overall and the Bills have the eighth selection.
