Brewers | Khris Davis belts a pair

Mon, 25 May 2015 19:45:16 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers OF Khris Davis went 3-for-3 with two solo home runs, three runs scored and a walk in an 8-4 loss to the San Francisco Giants Monday, May 25.

Fantasy Tip: Davis ($2,600, 5.2% of cap) has flashed some power upside in the past, but he is nothing more than a roll-of-the-dice play at FantasyScore.

Brewers | Khris Davis sitting out

Sat, 23 May 2015 08:47:37 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers OF Khris Davis is not in the starting lineup Saturday, May 23. OF Gerardo Parra will be the starting left fielder for the team.

Fantasy Tip: Davis ($2,600, 5.2% of cap) likely is receiving a day off and should return to the lineup in the next day or two. Parra ($2,200, 4.4% of cap) is hitting .408 this month and could be a cheaper option for owners on FantasyScore to consider.

Brewers | Khris Davis batting second

Fri, 22 May 2015 12:21:53 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers OF Khris Davis is batting second and playing left field against the Atlanta Braves Friday, May 22.

Fantasy Tip: Davis ($2,600, 5.2% of cap) is stuck in a 3-for-28 drought, so FantasyScore players should view him as a high-risk, high-reward option Friday. It is worth noting Davis has the handedness advantage in his favor against lefty Alex Wood, and he has 13 home runs with a .498 slugging percentage during his career against southpaws.

Brewers | Khris Davis not in lineup

Thu, 21 May 2015 11:46:31 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers OF Khris Davis is not in the starting lineup Thursday, May 21. OF Gerardo Parra is starting in left field and hitting second in the batting order against Atlanta Braves SP Julio Teheran.

Fantasy Tip: Parra ($2,200, 4.4% of cap) is having a fine month of May, batting .409 (18-for-44) with two home runs and 11 RBI, and he's taking playing time away from Davis, who has struggled. You could do much worse than Parra as a value play against a right-handed pitcher that has struggled with the long ball in 2015.

Brewers | Gerardo Parra in LF Tuesday

Tue, 19 May 2015 11:25:31 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers OF Gerardo Parra is starting in left field and hitting second in the batting order against Detroit Tigers SP Anibal Sanchez Tuesday, May 19. OF Khris Davis moves over to right field with OF Ryan Braun serving as the designated hitter.

Fantasy Tip: Parra ($2,200, 4.4% of cap) is making the most of his opportunies this year and his hitting just over .300. You can do much worse than him as a sleeper play in the outfield, as he's hitting .291 (23-for-79) with a home run and 10 RBI against right-handers in 2015.

Brewers | Khris Davis, Gerardo Parra splitting time

Sat, 16 May 2015 13:41:32 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers OF Khris Davis is out of the lineup Saturday, May 16, in favor of OF Gerardo Parra.

Fantasy Tip: Davis ($2,600, 5.2% of cap) has two starts in the last five games, and they were against left-handed pitchers. Parra ($2,200, 4.4% of cap) took the other three starts. Davis has more fantasy value than Parra due to his power, but Parra appears to be the leader of this platoon for now.

Brewers | Khris Davis back in two-hole

Wed, 13 May 2015 11:47:58 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers OF Khris Davis is hitting second in the batting order for the second straight day against Chicago White Sox SP Jose Quintana Wednesday, May 13, with 2B Scooter Gennett not playing.

Fantasy Tip: Davis ($2,600, 5.2% of cap) is starting to show signs of life after a slow start in April. He's 9-for-20 (.450) with two home runs, seven RBI and a 1.422 OPS since May 7. The fact that he's struggled against southpaws this year (.154/.154/.346) could make him even more of a value play at FantasyScore as a contrarian option today.

Brewers | Jean Segura back in leadoff spot

Tue, 12 May 2015 13:33:53 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers SS Jean Segura is back hitting in the leadoff spot against Chicago White Sox SP Chris Sale Tuesday, May 12. OF Khris Davis is in the two-hole, and OF Carlos Gomez returns to the cleanup spot for the second straight game.

Fantasy Tip: Gomez ($5,600, 11.2% of cap) hit his second home run of the year hitting cleanup last night, and he admitted he has more confidence at the plate in a run-producing role in the heart of the order. The Brewers could stick with this configuration for the time being, and it should enhance the value of all parties involved. Gomez, Davis ($2,600, 5.2% of cap) and Segura ($4,100, 8.2% of cap) are contrarian plays at FantasyScore tonight while facing the slumping Sale.

Brewers | Khris Davis sitting out vs. White Sox

Mon, 11 May 2015 13:51:43 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers OF Khris Davis is not in the starting lineup against the Chicago White Sox Monday, May 11.

Fantasy Tip: Before his 0-for-4 showing Sunday, May 10, Davis ($2,600, 5.2% of cap) had consecutive three-RBI games with seven combined hits. Otherwise, he has struggled at the plate this season, but the upside is there, especially in the power department. FantasyScore players should view him as an upside source of cap relief when facing favorable pitching matchups.

Milwaukee Brewers OF Khris Davis went 3-for-3 with two doubles, three RBIs, two runs scored and a walk in a 12-4 win over the Chicago Cubs Saturday, May 9, and he has six RBIs in the first two games of the series.

Fantasy Tip: Davis ($2,600, 5.2% of cap) is 7-for-8 with a home run and three doubles in his last two games, and he could be worth taking a chance on as a cheap option at FantasyScore in the third game of the series Sunday, May 10.
