The Kansas City Royals announced that George Brett and Pedro Grifo will take over as hitting coaches. Jack Maloof and Andre David have been re-assigned to minor-league duties.

Fantasy Tip: This happened not long after Maloof's comments about KC not being a homer-hitting team. Despite Brett's name recognition, don't expect the Royals suddenly to start slugging.

The Kansas City Royals hired Jack Maloof as their new hitting coach Wednesday, Oct. 24, and named Andre David as their assistant hitting coach. Both were promoted from the minors.
