Tue, 16 Oct 2012 10:11:08 -0700 The Chicago Cubs acquired P Marcelo Carreno from the Detroit Tigers Tuesday, Oct. 16, to complete the trade Aug. 5 that sent 2B Jeff Baker to the Atlanta Braves. Carreno went 9-8 with a 3.23 ERA in 27 starts with Single-A West Michigan this year in the Tigers organization. He struck out 119 hitters and walked only 28 in 139 1/3 frames.
