Thu, 04 Oct 2012 10:03:14 -0700 The Philadelphia Phillies named roving hitting instructor Steve Henderson as the new hitting coach and also named Triple-A Lehigh Valley pitching coach Rod Nichols as the new bullpen coach. The Phillies will go without a bench coach next year. Mick Billmeyer was promoted to catching coach. Juan Samuel was offered the first base job but has yet to accept.
