The San Diego Padres optioned P Adys Portillo and INF Edinson Rincon to Double-A San Antonio and OF Yeison Asencio to Single-A Lake Elsinore Monday, March 11.

San Diego Padres OF Yelson Asencio won the batting title at Class A Fort Wayne Monday, Sept. 3, becoming the first player in the organization to win a full-season batting title at any level since 3B Chase Headley won the batting title for Double-A San Antonio in 2007.
