White Sox | Carlos Sanchez working on hit streak

Tue, 28 Jul 2015 21:36:42 -0700

Chicago White Sox 2B Carlos Sanchez did not start Tuesday, July 28, against the Boston Red Sox, but he came on in the fifth inning for the injured 2B Emilio Sanchez.

Fantasy Tip: Sanchez ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) went 1-for-3 with a strikeout to push his hitting streak to 11 games. He is hitting .415 (17-for-41) during the impressive run, and is worth using in FantasyScore at this cut rate price until he cools down.

White Sox | Carlos Sanchez not starting Tuesday

Tue, 28 Jul 2015 14:12:54 -0700

Chicago White Sox 2B Carlos Sanchez is not starting Tuesday, July 28, against the Boston Red Sox. 2B Gordon Beckham is batting ninth.

Fantasy Tip: Sanchez ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) is on a hot streak with a .444 mark in the past seven days, including two home runs. However, he hits .156 against the left so that's likely why Sanchez is seated.

White Sox | Carlos Sanchez will not start

Sun, 28 Jun 2015 09:20:51 -0700

Chicago White Sox 2B Carlos Sanchez is not in the starting lineup against Detroit Tigers SP David Price Sunday, June 28. 2B Emilio Bonifacio will start at second base and is batting ninth in the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Sanchez ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) likely is receiving the day off Sunday. Bonifacio ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) has only one hit in 17 at-bats this month and should be avoided by owners on FantasyScore.

White Sox | Carlos Sanchez sitting out

Fri, 19 Jun 2015 14:25:18 -0700

Chicago White Sox 2B Carlos Sanchez is not in the starting lineup against Texas Rangers SP Colby Lewis Friday, June 19. 2B Gordon Beckham will start at second base and is batting ninth in the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Sanchez ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) likely is receiving a day off and should return soon. Beckham ($2,300, 4.6% of cap) has only one hit in his last 10 games and should be avoided by owners on FantasyScore.

White Sox | Emilio Bonifacio draws into lineup

Wed, 10 Jun 2015 15:35:30 -0700

Chicago White Sox 2B Emilio Bonifacio is batting second and playing second base against Houston Astros SP Vincent Velasquez Wednesday, June 10. 2B Carlos Sanchez is not in the starting lineup Wednesday.

Fantasy Tip: Bonifacio ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) has some upside because of his speed, but he has been horrible at the plate this season and boasts a .186/.213/.203 slash line. FantasyScore players cannot start him with confidence, but he could easily reward on his small cap hit against Velasquez, who is making his debut start.

White Sox | Emilio Bonifacio starting at 2B

Tue, 09 Jun 2015 16:10:45 -0700

Chicago White Sox 2B Emilio Bonifacio will start at second base and hit ninth in the lineup Tuesday, June 9, against the Houston Astros and LHP Dallas Keuchel. 2B Carlos Sanchez comes out of the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Bonifacio ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) has struck out 11 times against lefties this season, in just 25 plate appearances. Bonifacio has also failed to draw a walk from the right side of the plate, and FantasyScore owners can ignore him completely.

White Sox | Carlos Sanchez starting Saturday

Sat, 30 May 2015 11:53:03 -0700

Chicago White Sox 2B Carlos Sanchez is starting at second base against the Houston Astros Saturday, May 30.

Fantasy Tip: Sanchez ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) only has six hits in 44 at-bats (.136) since being recalled a few weeks ago to serve as Chicago's regular second baseman and is only batting .170 overall. You can do better when it comes to inexpensive FantasyScore options at the keystone position.

White Sox | Carlos Sanchez out of the lineup

Mon, 25 May 2015 13:37:33 -0700

Chicago White Sox 2B Carlos Sanchez is not in the starting lineup Monday, May 25. 2B Emilio Bonifacio will take his place in the starting lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Sanchez ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) likely will be back in the lineup in the near future. Bonifacio ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) has not done a lot at the plate this season and is not the best choice for owners to use on FantasyScore.

White Sox | Carlos Sanchez officially called up

Fri, 15 May 2015 12:11:48 -0700

Chicago White Sox 2B Carlos Sanchez was officially called up from Class AAA Charlotte (N.C.) Friday, May 15.

Fantasy Tip: Sanchez is expected to take over everyday duty at the keystone for Chicago, and he is worth a speculative flier in cavernous mixed and AL-only formats. FantasyScore players will want to allow him a few games to become comfortable at the dish before utilizing him in the contests. Sanchez has nice contact skills with a dash of speed, but don't count on much power from the 23-year-old second baseman.

White Sox | Carlos Sanchez to start at 2B

Thu, 14 May 2015 11:24:11 -0700

Chicago White Sox 2B Carlos Sanchez will come up from the minors to start Friday, May 15, and he'll take over as the team's starting second baseman. 2Bs Gordon Beckham and Emilio Bonifacio will continue to serve as utility infielders.

Fantasy Tip: Sanchez will immediately gain value in very deep mixed and AL-only leagues with a starting job. The 22-year-old Venezuelan doesn't possess much power (career-high seven home runs in the minors in 2014), but he does have 20-stolen base potential over a full season. Take a wait-and-see approach at FantasyScore, but Sanchez could become a popular sleeper pick if he starts out hot for the Pale Hose.
