The Houston Astros agreed to terms with supplemental first-round pick P Lance McCullers Sunday, June 17. The deal is for $2.5 million, which is the slot value between the No. 12 and 13 overall pick.

The Houston Astros added Jesuit High School (Fla.) P Lance McCullers with the 41st overall pick of the 2012 MLB Draft. McCullers was viewed as a Top 10 talent, but signability issues reportedly caused him to fall. He is represented by super agent Scott Boras, and his father was a former major league pitcher, mainly with the San Diego Padres.
