Toronto Blue Jays SP J.A. Happ is considered a potential veteran presence at the back end of the rotation if the team does not find any upgrades on the open market. The team also likes the promise of SPs Drew Hutchison, Kyle Drabek, Marcus Stroman and Sean Nolin. Ps Esmil Rogers and Todd Redmond are also in the mix.

The Toronto Blue Jays are interested in trading for Chicago White Sox 2B Gordon Beckham. Left field and starting pitching are other areas of need heading into the offseason. Beckham is eligible for arbitration this winter and is under club control through the 2015 season. The Blue Jays also may try to pry SPs Hector Santiago or John Danks away from the White Sox in addition to Beckham. Toronto could have more than $20 million to spend this offseason. The White Sox are believed to be interested in Ps Aaron Sanchez or Marcus Stroman.
