Mets | Eric Campbell will be primary third baseman

Fri, 17 Apr 2015 13:32:39 -0700

New York Mets 3B/1B Eric Campbell will be the primary third baseman while 3B David Wright (hamstring) is out. INF Danny Muno will also receive a few starts at the hot corner.

Fantasy Tip: Consider Campbell ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) a nice low-priced flier for FantasyScore contests if he finds a groove at the plate. He is currently 2-for-8 with two runs and a RBI for the season. Campbell also has fleeting value in NL-only and cavernous mixed leagues.

Mets | Daniel Murphy out a week

Fri, 20 Mar 2015 13:57:59 -0700

New York Mets 2B Daniel Murphy (hamstring) is dealing with a pulled hamstring, and he'll miss at least a week. INFs Danny Muno and Matt Reynolds are options to play second base on opening day if Murphy isn't ready.

Fantasy Tip: Murphy will give you veteran help at the keystone in the later rounds of standard 12-team mixed leagues, but his price will likely drop even more now that he's hurt. Muno and Reynolds are nothing more than roster fillers in very deep NL-only leagues.
