Brian Allee-Walsh, of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, reports the Carolina Panthers are in the market for a backup quarterback after releasing 2000 Heisman Trophy winner QB Chris Weinke. Unrestricted free-agent QB Joey Harrington (Dolphins) may be a possibility down the road.
