Brewers | Hernan Perez out Wednesday

Wed, 09 Sep 2015 12:20:29 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers 3B Hernan Perez is not in the starting lineup Wednesday, Sept. 9. 2B Elian Herrera is starting at the hot corner and is hitting second against Miami Marlins SP Tom Koehler.

Fantasy Tip: Herrera ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) has a prime lineup spot to capitalize on his daily value tonight against the Marlins and Koehler. However, he's still a name rarely clicked on by FantasyScore users for a reason; he has only seven home runs and is hitting .242 (53-for-219) in limited action this year.

Brewers | Elian Herrera starting vs. southpaw

Tue, 08 Sep 2015 11:47:32 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers 2B Elian Herrera is starting at second base and is hitting eighth against Miami Marlins SP Adam Conley Tuesday, Sept. 8. 2B Scooter Gennett is out of the lineup today against the lefty.

Fantasy Tip: Herrera's ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) daily appeal is limited hitting at the bottom of the order, but he does have two home runs and six RBI in September as he sees more playing time against lefties. Even with a solid matchup, Herrera is a low-end second baseman on FantasyScore.

Brewers | Scooter Gennett has a seat

Mon, 07 Sep 2015 06:54:59 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers 2B Scooter Gennett is out of the lineup Monday, Sept. 7, with 2B Elian Herrera hitting eighth.

Fantasy Tip: Herrera ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) is 8-for-26 (.308) with two homers this month but oddly is hitting .190 against lefties. He faces lefty Justin Nicolino today. Pass on FantasyScore.

Brewers | Hernan Perez not starting

Fri, 04 Sep 2015 11:45:00 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers 3B Hernan Perez is not in the starting lineup Friday, Sept. 4. 2B Elian Herrera is starting at the hot corner and his batting eighth against Cincinnati Reds SP Keyvius Sampson.

Fantasy Tip: Herrera ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) is a very lackluster daily commodity on FantasyScore. Look to avoid him even in a hitter's park against a hittable rookie pitcher.

Brewers | Scooter Gennett sitting again

Thu, 03 Sep 2015 11:57:18 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers 2B Scooter Gennett is not in the lineup against Pittsburgh Pirates left-handed SP Francisco Liriano Thursday, Sept. 3. 2B Elian Herrera is starting at the keystone and is batting eighth.

Fantasy Tip: Herrera ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) is batting just .236 (45-for-191) with five home runs and 24 RBI this year and is strictly a source of salary cap relief on FantasyScore tonight.

Brewers | Scooter Gennett not in lineup

Wed, 02 Sep 2015 11:47:07 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers 2B Scooter Gennett is not in the starting lineup Wednesday, Sept. 2. 2B Elian Herrera is starting at second base and hitting eighth against Pittsburgh Pirates SP Jeff Locke. SS Jean Segura moves up to the leadoff spot.

Fantasy Tip: Herrera ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) is a desperation sleeper pick on FantasyScore while hitting low in the lineup. Segura ($3,600, 7.2% of cap) becomes much more attractive as a value play in the leadoff spot. Segura is batting .302 (32-for-106) against left-handers this season.

Brewers | Scooter Gennett playing second base

Sat, 22 Aug 2015 11:40:26 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers 2B Scooter Gennett will bat sixth against Washington Nationals SP Joe Ross Saturday, Aug. 22. INF Elian Herrera, who played second base Friday, Aug. 21, will start at third base Saturday.

Fantasy Tip: Gennett ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) is hitting .294 this month and is 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles against Ross in his career, so FantasyScore owners who need an inexpensive option at the keystone position should consider him for their lineups. Herrera ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) also merits consideration, since he is batting .293 with one home run and eight RBIs in 58 at-bats this month.

Brewers | Scooter Gennett sitting against lefty

Fri, 21 Aug 2015 13:23:52 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers 2B Scooter Gennett is not in the lineup against Washington Nationals left-handed SP Gio Gonzalez Friday, Aug. 21. 2B Elian Herrera is starting at second base and hitting eighth.

Fantasy Tip: Herrera ($2,400, 4.8% of cap), a switch-hitter, is much better from the left side against right-handers this year. He doesn't deserve your attention tonight.

Brewers | Scooter Gennett out of lineup Tuesday

Tue, 18 Aug 2015 11:59:18 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers 2B Scooter Gennett is not in the lineup Tuesday, Aug. 18, against the Miami Marlins. 2B Elian Herrera is batting seventh against Marlins SP Adam Conley.

Fantasy Tip: Gennett ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) is hitting .438 in the last week but it's a no-brainer to sit him with an .077 average against lefties. Anytime Gennett faces a left-handed pitcher, avoid him in FantasyScore if he is in the lineup.

Brewers | Scooter Gennett sitting vs. Miami

Mon, 17 Aug 2015 12:18:14 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers 2B Scooter Gennett is not in the starting lineup Monday, Aug. 17. 2B Elian Herrera is starting at second base and batting seventh against Miami Marlins SP Justin Nicolino Monday.

Fantasy Tip: Make sure to avoid Gennett ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) in all formats Monday. Since returning from the minors Thursday, June 11, he has a respectable .290/.323/.454 slash line and is worth owning in deep mixed leagues. Three of Herrera's ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) five home runs have come against lefties, and in just 43 plate appearances. Still, he is nothing more than a desperation source of cap relief at FantasyScore.
