Cleveland Browns LB L.J. Fort is expected to draw a start in Week 1 against the Philadelphia Eagles at strongside linebacker with LB James-Michael Johnson (oblique) nicked and LB Scott Fujita (suspension) away from the team until his three-game suspension for his alleged role in the New Orleans Saints' bounty scandal is resolved.

Browns | Several vying for more responsibilities

Following the season-ending injury to Cleveland Browns LB Chris Gocong (Achilles'), several others will have a chance to step up and grab more playing time. LBs Emmanuel Acho, James-Michael Johnson and Kaluka Maiava might get chances to fill in for Gocong. Head coach Pat Shurmur said Saturday, Aug. 4, that LBs L.J. Fort and Craig Robertson have also caught the eye of the coaching staff.
