The Rocky Mountain News reports free-agent P Todd Sauerbrun (Broncos) believed the Denver Broncos did him wrong by releasing him after a confrontation with a Denver taxi driver Dec. 7. The incident led to a citation and a visit to a detox facility. Sauerbrun is upset with head coach Mike Shanahan, who painted him as a bad apple and cut him quickly after the arrest in the same season in which Shanahan constantly defended RB Travis Henry over a failed drug test. Sauerbrun said, "The Broncos didn't give me a fair shot. I don't think they did me right. I do feel ill about it. And their new motto about character guys?
