New York Jets WR Saalim Hakim received extra reps in practice Friday, Aug. 7, after WR Chris Owusu (head) left with an injury. Hakim scored two touchdowns, catching a deep ball over CB Antonio Cromartie on a pass from QB Geno Smith and scoring in a red-zone drill on a pass from QB Ryan Fitzpatrick.

WR Saalim Hakim (quadriceps), S Jaiquawn Jarrett (shoulder) and DE Muhammad Wilkerson (toe) are questionable, while SS Antonio Allen (hand), OG Willie Colon (knee), C Nick Mangold (finger) and S Calvin Pryor (shoulder) are probable. Miles didn't practice Friday, Dec. 19. Hakim, Jarrett and Wilkerson were limited in practice, while the others practiced in full.

New York Jets WR Saalim Hakim is one of the rawest players on the active roster, and he has excellent speed at 5-11, 188 pounds. Hakim's value as a kick returner and a gunner on punts made him attractive. He's the team's newest project. "He's blazing fast with a lot of explosion," wide receivers coach Sanjay Lal said. "He brings some strength to it' too. He's powerful. He does have some good release ability. To be fair, not every aspect is blatantly raw."
