Thu, 09 May 2013 11:46:12 -0700 Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy said he expects to have a very productive season in head coach Chip Kelly's offense in 2013. "We have tons of different sets with different backs. You run so much," McCoy said. "There are so many different fast-paced movements from motioning out, from running routes and things like that. It's so open. You're trying to get guys in the open field. This is a good offense." McCoy said he expects RBs Bryce Brown and Chris Polk to receive playing time because of the type of offense the team will use. Fantasy Tip: McCoy had a disappointing 2012 season with only five total touchdowns but did miss four games because of a concussion. McCoy has proven to be one of the top fantasy running backs in the NFL and likely will be a No. 1 running back this season.
Thu, 18 Apr 2013 12:41:02 -0700 Philadelphia Eagles RB Bryce Brown has been working on ball security this offseason by carrying around waited footballs.
Wed, 20 Feb 2013 06:15:07 -0800 Philadelphia Eagles RB Bryce Brown put the ball on the ground four times, or once every 28.8 carries, during the 2012 season. Brown is expected to see more playing time in new head coach Chip Kelly's offense, as long as he can take care of the football. "I look at running backs that run with that style, look at the Adrian Petersons, early in their career, how many times he fumbled," running backs coach Duce Staley said. "Not comparing the two, but I look at guys that once they're in a hole, or once they're around a crowd, you've got to have that awareness. Guys are around, guys poking at the ball, it's their job. Bryce understands that. And I was able to show him some things on film that is going to help him. And (we'll) definitely do drills. We're going to do that all day, every day."
Mon, 11 Feb 2013 18:22:36 -0800 Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur said the team will regularly use RBs LeSean McCoy and Bryce Brown. Shurmur thinks, in general, offenses are more effective with two running backs being used.
Wed, 26 Dec 2012 11:40:29 -0800 Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid said he wanted to give RB Bryce Brown more work in Week 16, but RB LeSean McCoy kept telling Reid that he was fine. McCoy played 64 of 76 offensive snaps, while Brown played in just 10 snaps.
Mon, 24 Dec 2012 07:37:58 -0800 Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy played in 64 snaps (84 percent) in the team's Week 16 game, while RB Bryce Brown played just 10 snaps.
Sun, 23 Dec 2012 18:32:48 -0800 Philadelphia Eagles RB Bryce Brown started at kick returner for the second time this season in Week 16 against the Washington Redskins. He had 74 yards on four returns with a long of 22.
Sat, 22 Dec 2012 06:31:53 -0800 Although Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy will start in the team's Week 16 game, head coach Andy Reid said he is expected to be eased back into the lineup. "I'm going to keep an eye on him. He's not going to play the whole game, every snap of the game," Reid said. "We'll monitor him as we go and see how he does." RB Bryce Brown could be in a heavy rotation with McCoy during the game.
Thu, 20 Dec 2012 11:51:10 -0800 Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid said RB LeSean McCoy (concussion) won't have his "normal workload" in Week 16 against the Washington Redskins. RBs Bryce Brown and Dion Lewis will rotate in at running back. "He's coming off an injury. I understand that, so I'll keep a close eye on him," Reid said. "He'll work in as a starter and then Bryce has some valuable experience that he's gained over the last few weeks, so we'll get him in there." McCoy said he felt a bit rusty while practicing Wednesday, Dec. 19.
Thu, 20 Dec 2012 11:43:33 -0800 It looks as though Philadelphia Eagles RB Bryce Brown could return kicks again in Week 16.
Wed, 19 Dec 2012 08:52:25 -0800 Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy (concussion) will start in the team's Week 16 game. RB Bryce Brown will rotate in with McCoy. Fantasy Tip: Owners will be happy to have McCoy back in their lineups. He does not have a favorable matchup, however, as the Redskins have yielded just under 96 yards rushing per contest. Bryce Brown will also see time on a rotational basis, which could hurt McCoy's value.
Mon, 17 Dec 2012 11:50:07 -0800 Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid said RB Bryce Brown will continue to see playing time even if RB LeSean McCoy (concussion) returns for the final two games of the season. "He needs to play. That's why I haven't sat him down because of the fumbles," Reid said of Brown, responsible for four turnovers in four starts. "I felt like he did miss a lot, he missed a lot of football. The thing he needs most is to be out there and playing and learning the game. He's wired the right way. This is a kid who doesn't want to make mistakes and drop the ball and that stuff. He's a responsible kid."
Mon, 17 Dec 2012 08:34:05 -0800 Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid said RB Bryce Brown won't be benched due to his fumbling issues. He has four turnovers in four starts.
Sat, 15 Dec 2012 06:44:00 -0800 Philadelphia Eagles RB Bryce Brown has shown a habit of bouncing runs to the outside when he thinks there is not an opening inside. Head coach Andy Reid said there were "two or three" rushes that Brown could have kept inside the tackles in Week 15.
Sat, 15 Dec 2012 04:41:16 -0800 Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid said he will not bench RB Bryce Brown, despite the back's fumbling issues early in his career. Brown is not only in his first NFL season but doesn't even have much college experience, with just 104 carries in his entire college career. "He needs to play," Reid said. "That's why I haven't sat him down because of the fumbles."
Fri, 14 Dec 2012 09:29:13 -0800 Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid said it's important to continue using RB Bryce Brown as he learns the game.
Tue, 11 Dec 2012 11:09:08 -0800 Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick (concussion) and RB LeSean McCoy (concussion) will both return to practice Tuesday, Dec. 11, but neither player is expected to do much, and they won't play in the team's Week 15 game Thursday, Dec. 13. Both players are in Phase 5 of their return from concussions. They still have to do strenuous workouts and be cleared by an independent neurologist. Both players could add contact to their practice Wednesday, Dec. 12. RB Bryce Brown will start in Week 15, but he'll likely return to backup duties when McCoy returns.
Sun, 09 Dec 2012 20:24:52 -0800 Philadelphia Eagles RB Bryce Brown carried 12 times for just six yards in the Week 14 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He also had two receptions for six yards. Fantasy Tip: Brown was a sensation in his first two NFL starts, but the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and their stout rushing defense put the clamps on him. The good news is that for the first time in three NFL starts, he did not fumble the ball. He remains an RB2 or flex fantasy play heading into Week 15 based upon what he did the past two games, but he faces a quick turnaround with a game Thursday, Dec. 13, against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Thu, 06 Dec 2012 05:32:27 -0800 Philadelphia Eagles RB Bryce Brown said Wednesday, Dec. 5, that the scout team was more aggressive in trying to strip him of the football in practice. He was walking around the locker room squeezing a ball of clay because he was told he had weak hands. Brown has fumbled three times in two games.
Tue, 04 Dec 2012 10:12:50 -0800 Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy (concussion) is improving but is still displaying concussion symptoms, which haven't allowed him to return to the field. Head coach Andy Reid said McCoy is still undergoing testing. RB Bryce Brown's performance in McCoy's place will likely keep him as part of the offense when McCoy returns. Brown has 347 yards and four touchdowns in two games, which is the second most yards ever by a running back in team history in a two-game span.
Mon, 03 Dec 2012 07:11:44 -0800 The Philadelphia Eagles could go into 2013 with the tandem of RB LeSean McCoy and RB Bryce Brown at the running back position. The team won't likely move Brown in the offseason unless they get an offer they can't refuse, because the idea of having a two-headed rushing attack next season is an intriguing one. The Eagles will need everything they can get on the ground if QB Nick Foles is the quarterback next season.
Mon, 03 Dec 2012 06:51:06 -0800 Philadelphia Eagles RB Bryce Brown has fumbled three times in two contests, all of which have come in the second half with the game on the line. Head coach Andy Reid said Brown must do a better job of keeping the football close to him. "When you get tired, when you're in that fourth quarter and you've been grinding, you've got focus on that," Reid said of keeping the ball high and tight. "He was trying to get every yard he possibly could and when you're doing that you have to overemphasize and exaggerate (ball security). You know until you answer it the other team is going to be going for the football."
Sun, 02 Dec 2012 22:23:59 -0800 Philadelphia Eagles RB Bryce Brown carried 24 times for 169 yards and two touchdowns in the Week 13 game against the Dallas Cowboys. Brown is the fifth rookie since 1960 to run for 165 or more yards in back-to-back games, and he is the first to do it in his first two NFL starts. He is also the third Eagles player to accomplish two games with at least 160 or more rushing yards in a season, joining Steve Van Buren (1949) and Timmy Brown (1965). Fantasy Tip: It wasn't all great for Brown, who lost his third fumble in two games. This fumble was scooped up and returned for a touchdown. Still, despite the fumbling problems, Brown has suddenly emerged as a must-have fantasy option in all leagues. It will be interesting to see what happens when RB LeSean McCoy (concussion) is healthy enough to return.
Mon, 26 Nov 2012 20:50:55 -0800 Philadelphia Eagles RB Bryce Brown made his first NFL start in Week 12 against the Carolina Panthers Monday, Nov. 26. He racked up 178 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries, and he also had four receptions for 11 yards in place of RB LeSean McCoy (concussion). Brown did lose a pair of fumbles, however. Fantasy Tip: Brown looked sharp, but he was also up against a Panthers rushing defense which has been pretty abysmal this season. If Brown gets another start in Week 13 against the Dallas Cowboys, he is worth a look as an RB2 or flex play, but the Cowboys are much better against the run.
Sat, 24 Nov 2012 10:06:26 -0800 Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid said RB Bryce Brown will start at running back Week 12. He said RB Dion Lewis will also playing time during the game.
Sat, 24 Nov 2012 04:43:29 -0800 Philadelphia Eagles RB Dion Lewis said he is looking forward to the possibility of seeing some touches in Week 12 with RB LeSean McCoy (concussion) unlikely to play. RB Bryce Brown is expected to start, with Lewis getting some carries. "I didn't want to see him hurt," said Lewis of McCoy. "But when an opportunity presents itself, you go out and play. And I am excited about that."
Fri, 23 Nov 2012 13:44:41 -0800 Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy's (concussion) headaches had subsided Thursday, Nov. 22, but his chances appear slim to play in Week 12. RB Bryce Brown will start if McCoy can't play.

Tue, 20 Nov 2012 17:14:25 -0800 Philadelphia Eagles RB Bryce Brown could start the team's Week 12 game against the Carolina Panthers Monday, Nov. 26, if RB LeSean McCoy (concussion) can't play.
Mon, 19 Nov 2012 16:15:59 -0800 Philadelphia Eagles RB Bryce Brown replaced CB Brandon Boykin in returning kicks in Week 11. Brown had three returns for 66 yards, with a long of 25 yards. Boykin has averaged 22 yards and a long of 31 in 27 returns this season.

Mon, 08 Oct 2012 13:37:07 -0700 Philadelphia Eagles RB Bryce Brown (shoulder) and LB Mychal Kendricks (ankle) were injured Week 5, but head coach Andy Reid said he expects both players to practice Wednesday, Oct. 10.
Sun, 07 Oct 2012 11:09:31 -0700 Philadelphia Eagles RB Bryce Brown (stinger) left the game early Week 5 because of a stinger and is considered probable to return.
Sat, 08 Sep 2012 10:59:51 -0700 Philadelphia Eagles RB Bryce Brown could receive carries Week 1. Head coach Andy Reid would not say if Brown or RB Dion Lewis will be the No. 2 running back during the game.
Tue, 14 Aug 2012 19:19:38 -0700 The battle for the No. 3 running back job for the Philadelphia Eagles is too close to call, as RBs Bryce Brown and Chris Polk vie for the spot.
Sat, 11 Aug 2012 09:42:48 -0700 Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid said Saturday, Aug. 11, he came away impressed with RB Bryce Brown after the team's preseason opener. "Bryce is a really smart kid. He's picking things up well and then he's a big, physical kid," Reid said. "He's got good speed and good moves so you got to see that. It's important, though, that he continues to fine-tune himself as we go here. Like any young player needs to do, he needs to continue to do that. But I would tell you he was one of the positives coming out of the game. I thought he did a nice job."
Sun, 29 Jul 2012 20:56:31 -0700 Philadelphia Eagles RB Bryce Brown has shown soft hands as a receiver since joining the team, and he showed off solid blocking in pass-protection drills Sunday, July 29. He appears to have a leg up in the battle for the No. 3 running back job over rookie RB Chris Polk.

Fri, 06 Jul 2012 21:26:33 -0700 Philadelphia Eagles RBs Bryce Brown and Chris Polk will get their chance to show what they can do during training camp and the preseason. It's likely the team only keeps three running backs, and RBs LeSean McCoy and Dion Lewis are one-two on the depth chart.
Fri, 11 May 2012 13:46:55 -0700 The Philadelphia Eagles have signed fourth-round draft choice CB Brandon Boykin and seventh-round draft choice RB Bryce Brown to four-year deals. Financial terms were not disclosed.
