Seattle Seahawks OG J.R. Sweezy started at right guard in Week 1 against the Arizona Cardinals, but he is expected to come off the bench with OG John Moffitt (elbow) back in Week 2. "The fact that John has a chance to come back, he's ready to play again," head coach Pete Carroll said. "John was starting before he got hurt, and so we'll see how this goes, and we feel like we have two guys that can play. Sweezy has done a remarkable job to get this far."

Seattle Seahawks OG John Moffitt (elbow) is expected to play in the preseason finale Thursday, Aug. 30, after returning from elbow surgery to remove loose particles this week. Moffitt is likely to come off the bench, as OG J.R. Sweezy is expected to make another start at right guard.

Seattle Seahawks OG J.R. Sweezy continues to work as the first-team right guard in practice. He has started two preseason games, and he might start in the exhibition finale Thursday, Aug. 30. Sweezy has been getting a chance while OG John Moffitt (elbow) works his way back after elbow surgery.

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said OG J.R. Sweezy looked good at offensive guard during offseason workouts. Sweezy was a defensive tackle during college, but the team decided to move him to guard.
