They have been filling in with DBs Sam Shields (ankle) and Charles Woodson (collarbone) out. Hayward has filled Shields' role in the base defense and Woodson's role inside in the nickel and dime packages. House played in all 72 defensive snaps against Detroit.

Peprah is viewed as the best quarterback of the secondary, but Jennings and McMillian can cover more ground.
