The New York Giants have signed TE Jamie Childers, CB Buddy Jackson and PK Jake Rogers to futures contracts. Terms of the contracts were not disclosed.

St. Louis Rams TE Matthew Mulligan is tentatively consider the No. 3 tight end on the depth chart, but he is anything but a lock. He is trying to hold off challengers TEs Jamie Childers, Brody Eldridge, Cory Harkey, Mike McNeill and DeAngelo Peterson for a roster spot. His familiarity with the system of offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer, from their days with the New York Jets, is expected to help his cause.

St. Louis Rams TEs Brody Eldridge, Mike McNeill and Matthew Mulligan are hoping to make a splash in training camp and earn a roster spot. "Tight end is deep, a lot of good competition here," Eldridge said. The Rams also have three undrafted rookies, TEs Jamie Childers, Cory Harkey and DeAngelo Peterson, looking to make a name for themselves.

Coastal Carolina TE Jamie Childers measured 6-foot-4 1/4, 246 pounds at his Pro Day Thursday, March 8. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.70 seconds and 4.73 seconds, the short shuttle in 4.26 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.24 seconds. He also measured a 36-inch vertical jump, a 9-foot-11 broad jump and completed 22 repetitions on the 225-pound bench press.
