Minnesota TE Eric Lair ran consecutive 40-yard dashes in the 4.5-range Monday, March 5, in workouts held by the team for a couple dozen players from smaller schools in the region. Lair also posted a 36 1/2-inch vertical leap and spoke with scouts from three teams afterward. "Today went fantastic," Lair said. "Better than I thought it would be. I did well in my position drills, even though I didn't catch many balls over the break. But year, I did better than I thought I would."
