Nationals | Anthony Rendon, Wilson Ramos playing

Sun, 29 May 2016 07:52:46 -0700

Washington Nationals 3B Anthony Rendon and C Wilson Ramos are back in the starting lineup against St. Louis Cardinals SP Michael Wacha Sunday, May 29. In addition, OF Michael Taylor will play center field and bat second. OF Jayson Werth is receiving the day off.

Fantasy Tip: Rendon is 8-for-19 (.421) with three runs scored against the Cardinals this season and Ramos is batting .325 with three home runs and 13 RBI through 80 at-bats this month, so both players are worth starting in all formats. Taylor is batting just .209 through 43 at-bats in May and should be avoided.

Nationals | Ben Revere out of the lineup

Wed, 25 May 2016 08:39:10 -0700

Washington Nationals OF Ben Revere is out of the lineup Wednesday, May 25, with OF Michael Taylor leading off.

Fantasy Tip: Taylor is hitting just .190 on the season and .241 against left-handers. He's facing a formidable one in Steven Matz. Taylor has upside today at leadoff, but it's only at the right price in DFS.

Nationals | Michael Taylor leading off vs. the Fish

Fri, 20 May 2016 13:32:28 -0700

Washington Nationals OF Michael Taylor is playing center field and leading off against Miami Marlins SP Justin Nicolino Friday, May 20. OF Ben Revere is not in the starting lineup Friday.

Fantasy Tip: Taylor projects to see regular playing time in center field against left-handed pitchers, but he owns an underwhelming career .244/.299/.393 slash line against southpaws. Taylor also failed to take advantage of and push for more playing after Revere's early-season injury. View Taylor as a potential low-priced flier in daily contests Friday, but he is nothing more than a depth option in deep mixed and NL-only formats at this point. Revere is worth owning in all formats because of his speed. He's averaged 35 stolen bases per year since 2011, after all.

Nationals | Michael Taylor, Ryan Zimmerman out

Sun, 01 May 2016 08:09:44 -0700

Washington Nationals OF Michael Taylor and 1B Ryan Zimmerman are not in the starting lineup against St. Louis Cardinals SP Carlos Martinez Sunday, May 1. OF Matt den Dekker will bat leadoff and play center field, while 1B/OF Clint Robinson starts at first base and bats sixth.

Fantasy Tip: Den Dekker and Robinson are a combined 6-for-46 at the plate this season and are not recommended options this afternoon. Even as far as desperation fliers go in daily fantasy leagues, you can do better.

Nationals | Two Nats take a seat

Thu, 28 Apr 2016 09:23:57 -0700

Washington Nationals 3B Anthony Rendon and OF Michael Taylor are out of the lineup Thursday, April 28. OF Matt den Dekker is leading off, and 3B Stephen Drew is hitting eighth. C Wilson Ramos remains on the bereavement list with C Pedro Severino hitting seventh.

Fantasy Tip: Drew and den Dekker are below the Mendoza Line and don't have enough upside for a start against Aaron Nola. Severino has four career at-bats, and he's not a great flyer either.

Washington Nationals OF Michael Taylor is not in the starting lineup against Minnesota Twins SP Phil Hughes Saturday, April 23. OF Chris Heisey will start in center field and is batting first in the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Heisey has been used mostly as a pinch hitter this season and has three hits in 13 at-bats. Owners in most leagues should be able to find better players to use in their lineups and can avoid Heisey.

Nationals | Michael Taylor dropped in order

Thu, 21 Apr 2016 09:12:06 -0700

Washington Nationals OF Michael Taylor is hitting seventh in the batting order against Miami Marlins SP Tom Koehler Thursday, April 21.

Fantasy Tip: Taylor is hitting only .185 (10-for-54), but he did homer in the game Wednesday night. His power-speed combination should be owned in most fantasy leagues with Ben Revere on the DL, but a drop in the lineup Thursday makes Taylor less attractive in DFS.
