Detroit Lions CBs Darius Slay, Bill Bentley, Ron Bartell, Chris Greenwood and Jonte Green are all expected to be candidates for the starting right cornerback job. It appears Slay and Bentley are the leading candidates at this point.

Detroit Lions CB Chris Greenwood said he hopes to be able to compete for a starting cornerback job during training camp next season. "My goal is to be a starter, of course," Greenwood said. "But all I can do is control how hard I work and let the chips fall where they may."

Detroit Lions CBs Bill Bentley (shoulder), Chris Greenwood (abdominal) and Jonte Green were drafted last April, but remain unproven. Bentley missed most of the season due to a shoulder injury, Greenwood missed the entire year due to an abdominal ailment, and Green was mostly a backup.
