One source close to the team said the Green Bay Packers are high on safeties M.D. Jennings, Jerron McMillian and Sean Richardson next to FS Morgan Burnett. The team did not pursue high-priced safeties in the free-agent market, surprising some agents. However, the team feels they might have the answer internally.

Green Bay Packers S Sean Richardson (neck) will probably be ready to practice by the start of training camp after recently undergoing neck surgery. Richardson had spent the final five games of the 2012 season on Injured Reserve with the injury.

Green Bay Packers SS Sean Richardson (back) underwent surgery this week for a cervical disc herniation that he suffered during the season. The surgery is not believed to be career threatening but there is no timetable for his recovery.

Green Bay Packers SS Sean Richardson (back) is scheduled to undergo surgery Tuesday, Jan. 15, to repair a disc in his back. Richardson was placed on Injured Reserve after suffering the injury in the team's Week 12 game. His agent said there is no timetable but the goal is for him to be ready for training camp.
