The Atlanta Falcons have waived TE Chase Coffman, LB Max Gruder, PK Erik Folk, RB Richard Medlin, FB Lee Meisner, DE Lewiw Nzegwu, WR Kenny Stafford and TE Aron White. The team also waived DT Eli Joseph (concussion) and CB Darrin Walls (leg) after reaching injury settlements with them.

Atlanta Falcons TE Tony Gonzalez is obviously entrenched as the starter, but the Falcons have several players jockeying for the primary backup job. TEs Marquez Branson, Lamark Brown, Tommy Gallarda, Adam Nissley, Michael Palmer and Aron White are all battling for roster spots.

The Atlanta Falcons have signed undrafted free-agent FB Lee Meisner (CSU-Pueblo), WR Kenny Stafford (Toledo) and TE Aron White (Georgia). Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
