Mon, 18 Nov 2013 09:40:44 -0800
Seattle Seahawks WR Percy Harvin (hip) had a 58-yard kickoff return and an impressive 17-yard catch to keep a touchdown drive alive in his season debut in Week 11 against the Minnesota Vikings. WR Jermaine Kearse (concussion) had a concussion in the first quarter, forcing Harvin into kick-return duties after head coach Pete Carroll said he didn't want Harvin returning kicks in his first game back.
Fantasy Tip: Harvin's playing time was limited, as expected, and he caught the only pass that was thrown his way in the game. Expected his limited involvement to continue for at least a few more games. Until we see his snaps and targets go up, he'll be a risky play.

Thu, 31 Oct 2013 11:03:55 -0700
Seattle Seahawks WR Percy Harvin (hip) did not practice Wednesday, Oct. 30, and remains day-to-day as for when the team will activate him from the Physically Unable to Perform list. "We want to make sure we don't go too far too fast," head coach Pete Carroll said. "We're looking for the long haul in his recovery. We want to make sure we manage our way through that. We're being very careful. He didn't do a whole lot last week. He did very little. It seems like it's best to keep him in that mode a little longer."
Fantasy Tip: As we've noted countless times, the Seahawks are being ultra-cautious with their most dynamic offensive weapon. They are in the position not to rush him back, either, facing the winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers this weekend. Until he returns, expect Golden Tate and Doug Baldwin to receive more targets. Jermaine Kearse is an option in much deeper leagues.

Seattle Seahawks WR Jermaine Kearse posted two catches for 31 yards and a touchdown in the preseason opener Aug. 8, against the San Diego Chargers. He reportedly has had a good camp, and it spilled over into the game. "I had a post route, and I had some outside leverage on the defender," Kearse said. "I knew I just had to push him out, and if I could beat him I was going to be wide open. So I just widened him, slipped inside and waited for the ball."
Fantasy Tip: Kearse and Stephen Williams each scored touchdowns in the game. They're looking to move up the depth chart at a crowded position. With Percy Harvin (hip) sidelined, Kearse and Williams could possibly be the favorites for the No. 4 and 5 receiver jobs after their performance, but they have a long way to go before they're fantasy relevant.

He had worn contacts since his sophomore season in college. "I don't have to deal with the hassle of contacts," Kearse said.
