St. Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher said it's the team's intention to draft a quarterback in this year's draft, despite trading for QB Nick Foles in the offseason. Florida State QB Jameis Winston and Oregon QB Marcus Mariota are expected to be off the board when the Rams pick with the 10th overall pick in the first round, but the Rams could also trade up to take one of them. The Rams could also look at the second tier of quarterbacks in this class, which includes Baylor QB Bryce Petty, California-Los Angeles QB Brett Hundley, Oregon QB Sean Mannion and Colorado State QB Garrett Grayson. Petty indicated that he has a visit planned with St. Louis. Rams QBs Austin Davis and Case Keenum will compete for the backup job, and the loser might be on the street if the Rams draft another quarterback.
Fantasy Tip: Foles upgrades the Rams offense, but unless St. Louis adds some more playmakers around him, he won't be anything more than a boring QB2 for fantasy purposes. It's highly unlikely that the quarterback the Rams draft takes over the starting job from Foles in 2015.

St. Louis Rams restricted free-agent QB Austin Davis received a tender offer at the minimum level Friday, March 6. The Rams get matching rights, but no compensation if Davis signs elsewhere.
Fantasy Tip: Davis was forced into a starting role last season and he fared OK at times, but he is not expected to be a fantasy option going into 2015. He will likely be nailed to the bench as a No. 2 or 3 signal caller.

St. Louis Rams QB Austin Davis has been benched, and QB Shaun Hill will start in Week 11 Sunday, Nov. 16.
Fantasy Tip: Hill ($3,700; 7.4% of your cap) is only worth consideration on FantasyScore if you're looking to load up at other positions.

St. Louis Rams QB Austin Davis will continue to be the team's starting quarterback, according to head coach Jeff Fisher.
Fantasy Tip: Davis has thrown five interceptions to only three touchdowns in his last three games and has thrown for at least 200 yards in only one of those games. Davis probably should not be a starting option in any league in Week 11.

St. Louis Rams QB Austin Davis (knee) left the Week 9 game against the San Francisco 49ers in the first quarter after an awkward slide knocked his knee brace askew.
Fantasy Tip: Davis left for a play or two, had his brace adjusted on the sidelines, and he was able to return to the game.

St. Louis Rams QB Austin Davis was 18-for-21 for 152 yards in the team's Week 7 win over the Seattle Seahawks, and former QB Brett Favre thinks Davis could be special in the league. "Not to sound off my rocker, but (Davis) -- in my mind -- can be the next Tom Brady or Kurt Warner. (Brian) Hoyer as well," Favre said. Davis' 86 percent completion rate against the Seahawks was the highest accuracy mark against a defending Super Bowl champion (minimum of 20 passes). It was also the second highest completion percentage against the Seahawks.
Fantasy Tip: Davis continues to fly under the radar, even at FantasyScore, where he'll cost $6,000 (12.0% of cap) against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 8. However, the Chiefs have performed well against the pass this season, making Davis an unpopular selection for your lineups.
