Colts | T.Y. Hilton could leave Indianapolis

Thu, 16 Jul 2015 21:05:13 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton will likely command more than the $11 million per season that Minnesota Vikings WR Mike Wallace receives, and Hilton could receive the franchise tag or become a free agent next year as the team works on an extension for QB Andrew Luck, according to Stephen Holder of the Indianapolis Star.

Fantasy Tip: The good news is that Hilton's contract isn't up for another year, and he should continue to put up big numbers as Luck's go-to weapon in the meantime. At the very least, he is a high-end WR2.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton may not give discount

Thu, 16 Jul 2015 16:49:16 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton is not expected to give the Colts a hometown discount when the time comes for his contract extension, according to Stephen Holder of the indystar.com.

Fantasy Tip: Hilton probably won't be paid as much as Calvin Johnson, Dez Bryant or Demaryius Thomas, but he won't want to be stiffed either. That bridge is yet to be crossed, however. For now, you should take Hilton as a low-end WR1 or high-end WR2 in standard leagues.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton not worried about contract

Sun, 14 Jun 2015 16:33:04 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton said Saturday, June 13, that he is leaving contract negotiations to his agent and is going to "just go out and have fun" this year.

Fantasy Tip: The speedy Hilton has 2,428 receiving yards over the past two seasons, and he has established himself as a borderline WR1 as Andrew Luck's main target.

Colts | Extension coming for T.Y. Hilton?

Thu, 11 Jun 2015 14:05:53 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton could be receiving an extension in the near future, according to owner Jim Irsay. Irsay said he'd like to get something done sooner rather than later.

Fantasy Tip: If anyone besides Andrew Luck deserves an extension on the Colts, it's Hilton, who amassed 82 catches for a career-high 1,345 yards and 7 touchdowns. Andre Johnson will join Hilton and a loaded wide receiver corps, including second-year wide receiver Donte Moncrief and rookie wide receiver Phillip Dorsett. Hilton will still be Luck's go-to target and should be drafted as a borderline WR1.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton looking to be leader

Wed, 22 Apr 2015 11:02:10 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton said he will become a leader on the team since free-agent WR Reggie Wayne (Colts) will not return. "I'm the captain of the room. Right now, I gotta make sure everybody's on point, make sure we're on point with Andrew (Luck). For me, whatever (Wayne) taught me, make sure I'm teaching everybody else, because it's only right. Marvin did it with him. He did it for me. Now, I gotta pass on the torch," Hilton said.

Fantasy Tip: Hilton was one of the most productive receivers this past season with 82 receptions, 1,345 receiving yards and seven touchdowns in 15 games. Hilton should enter next season as the team's No. 1 receiver and could be selected in one of the early rounds of fantasy drafts.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton likely looking for deal

Mon, 13 Apr 2015 22:33:08 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton recently fired his agent and re-hired Drew Rosenhaus, a move believed to precede a contract negotiation. He has outperformed his third-round rookie deal, and likely wants a new deal. The two sides have had negotiations, but it is unclear if the talks have moved forward.

Fantasy Tip: Hilton has 2,428 receiving yards over the past two seasons, emerging as a top-flight fantasy option. He will once again be a solid low-end WR1 or must-start WR2 for fantasy players in 2015.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton may be extension candidate

Thu, 19 Feb 2015 10:39:44 -0800

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton could receive a contract extension this offseason.

Fantasy Tip: Hilton ranked sixth the NFL with 1,345 receiving yards and is the clear-cut No. 1 receiver on the team. Hilton should be considered a midrange No. 1 wide receiver with some risk in drafts next season because there are times he can struggle during games.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton changes agents

Tue, 17 Feb 2015 23:21:37 -0800

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton changed agents recently, as he rehired Drew Rosenhaus after dismissing him back in June.

Fantasy Tip: Hilton is entering the last year of his contract and may be in line for an extension. Hilton's fantasy value has increased in recent months and makes a solid WR2 or WR3 in most leagues.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton shut down

Sun, 18 Jan 2015 19:30:38 -0800

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton was shut down by New England Patriots CB Kyle Arrington in the AFC Championship game Sunday, Jan. 18. Hilton had only one catch in the game.

Fantasy Tip: Hilton has what it takes to be a WR1 or 2 in fantasy football leagues, but his penchant for making miraculous big plays can disappear quickly in a game if he's blanketed by a speedy cornerback.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton dropping passes in playoffs

Wed, 07 Jan 2015 10:17:08 -0800

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton has been targeted the third most times (53) in the last three years in the playoffs, but his six drops are a league high in the playoffs in that span. Hilton dropped three passes last week in the wild-card playoff win over the Cincinnati Bengals while still managing to catch six passes for 103 yards.

Fantasy Tip: Hilton ($7,300, 14.6% of cap) is likely to face a tough matchup in Aqib Talib in the divisional round against the Denver Broncos. However, despite that and the fact that he has struggled with dropped passes in the postseason, this weekend could be another good time to use Hilton, as Andrew Luck and the Colts should be expected to chuck the ball through the air often, especially if they fall behind early.
