Rangers | Hire assistant to support Josh Hamilton

The Texas Rangers announced Tuesday, Feb. 7, that Shayne Kelley has been named a major league staff assistant and part of his duties will be to support OF Josh Hamilton. Kelley will also help hitting coach Scott Coolbaugh and the Rangers coaching staff as part of his duties. Kelley takes over the position previously held by Jerry Narron, who departed in the offseason to become the hitting coach with the Milwaukee Brewers.
