NFL | Ladarius Green hopes to play |
Fri, 19 May 2017 14:49:48 -0700
Free-agent TE Ladarius Green (Steelers) hopes to find a new team and play in 2017 after he was released by the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to a player that has talked with Green.
Fantasy Tip: Green has dealt with injuries over the last few seasons and may need to sign an incentive-laden deal with his next team. He is a solid fantasy option when he is healthy, but owners probably should avoid him because of his injury history.

Steelers | Ladarius Green released |
Thu, 18 May 2017 12:19:45 -0700
Pittsburgh Steelers TE Ladarius Green was released Thursday, May 18.
Fantasy Tip: That experiment didn't go very well for the Steelers. Jesse James now has a firm grasp on the starting tight end job in Pittsburgh. He'll cede some playing time to David Johnson, but James is officially a deep sleeper at his position.

Steelers | Ladarius Green part of offseason work |
Tue, 02 May 2017 14:47:21 -0700
Pittsburgh Steelers TE Ladarius Green (concussion) is participating in offseason activities.
Fantasy Tip: Green spent a lot more time off the field than he did on it last season, and he hasn't played a full season since 2013. He's a skillful pass-catcher, but the risk is too high to draft him as a TE1.

Steelers | No hope for Ladarius Green? |
Wed, 26 Apr 2017 18:05:26 -0700
The Pittsburgh Steelers do not appear to have much faith in TE Ladarius Green producing for them, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Ed Bouchette.
Fantasy Tip: Green has been a perennial tease in fantasy, blessed with a wealth of talent and no durability. Despite heading only the second season of four-year, $20 million contract, he may be on the way out of Pittsburgh if the Steelers find a tight end they like in the draft to pair with Jesse James.

Steelers | Ladarius Green plans to be at workouts |
Fri, 17 Mar 2017 15:36:33 -0700
Pittsburgh Steelers TE Ladarius Green (concussion) said he expects to participate in the offseason workouts and is excited to return.
Fantasy Tip: Green was limited to six games in 2016 because of injuries and finished with 304 yards and one touchdown. He should have a solid role in the passing game next season if he stays healthy and can be a low-end No. 1 or a No. 2 tight end in most leagues.

Fri, 17 Feb 2017 19:39:30 -0800
Pittsburgh Steelers TE Ladarius Green (concussion) is expected to be ready for the start of spring practice, according to general manager Kevin Colbert.
Fantasy Tip: Green's concussion history is concerning, but he showed flashes of his potential when healthy in 2016. Feel free to gamble on his TE1 upside, but make sure you have a solid alternative in place.

Steelers | Ladarius Green yet to be cleared |
Thu, 16 Feb 2017 17:48:50 -0800
Pittsburgh Steelers TE Ladarius Green is not currently in the NFL's concussion protocol, but he's yet to be cleared from a concussion that he sustained in the team's Week 15 game opposite the Cincinnati Bengals.
Fantasy Tip: This is definitely concerning, as health continues to be a roadblock for the 26-year-old tight end. Green has flashed notable potential before of being a legitimate TE1, but until he proves he can stay healthy, owners should look elsewhere in that department. He was limited to just six games this past season.

Steelers | Ladarius Green likely to stay put? |
Tue, 14 Feb 2017 20:38:59 -0800
Pittsburgh Steelers TE Ladarius Green is likely to remain on the roster, according to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, who believes there is "no reason for them not to bring him back." He added: "His health will determine what happens from there."
Fantasy Tip: Of course, that last item is huge, as health has always been the main bugaboo about Green's career. The 26-year-old has a history of concussions and was limited to just six games this past season, and while he's shown glimpses of being a legitimate, dependable TE1, it doesn't mean much if he can't get off the sidelines. Green will have to prove he can stay on the field before being relied upon in fantasy leagues in '17.

Steelers | PIT can save cap space if Ladarius Green cut |
Sun, 12 Feb 2017 15:13:11 -0800
The Pittsburgh Steelers could save $5 million in salary cap space if they released TE Ladarius Green (concussion) with a post-June 1 designation.
Fantasy Tip: Green has suffered multiple concussions over the last few years and has also dealt with other injuries. The Steelers have Jesse James and Xavier Grimble on the roster, so Green could become available in free agency. None of the Steelers tight ends should be considered a No. 1 fantasy tight end at this point.

Steelers | Ladarius Green's future with Steelers in question |
Tue, 31 Jan 2017 13:11:36 -0800
Pittsburgh Steelers TE Ladarius Green has "physical conditions" the Steelers need to evaluate this offseason, according to owner Art Rooney. Rooney was non-committal on Green's future in Pittsburgh.
Fantasy Tip: Green's main concern regarding his future is the multiple concussions he's sustained. His offensive skill is undeniable, but he may be too much of a liability in real life and in fantasy football.
