Houston Texans WR Dwight Jones informed the team he didn't want to play football anymore. Head coach Gary Kubiak said Wednesday, May 30, he spoke with Jones, and was hopeful he would give it another shot someday.

The Houston Texans reached contract agreements with undrafted free-agents DL Loni Fangupo, FB Jason Ford, RB Jonathan Grimes, DL David Hunter, WR Jerrell Jackson, LB Dalano Jackson, WR Dwight Jones, QB Case Keenum, WR Mario Louis, LB Shawn Loiseau, RB Davin Meggett, OT Nate Menkin, DL Rennie Moore, SS Eddie Pleasant, DL Tracy Robertson, TE Phillip Supernaw, OG Cody White and LB Greg Williams.

North Carolina WR Dwight Jones posted a 4.53 time in the 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine Sunday, Feb. 26. However, he managed a broad jump of just nine feet and one inch, and his vertical jump was just 33 inches, which were viewed as average. Jones also struggled in the pass-catching workout, and he dropped several easy throws while running poor routes.

North Carolina WR Dwight Jones had just one reception for seven yards for the South squad at the Senior Bowl Saturday, Jan. 28.

North Carolina WR Dwight Jones is a large and imposing target who has really struggled with his route running during practice at the Senior Bowl. His footwork gets very choppy in route-running drills and he decelerates into breaks.
