Thu, 23 May 2013 17:56:17 -0700 St. Louis Rams WR Brian Quick (hamstring) was limited during organized team activities Thursday, May 23, because of a tight hamstring.
Fri, 22 Mar 2013 19:03:44 -0700 The St. Louis Rams plan to lean on WR Austin Pettis and Brian Quick more in 2013 with WRs Danny Amendola (Patriots) and Brandon Gibson (Dolphins) leaving via free agency. Fantasy Tip: Pettis and Quick might be decent late-round fantasy additions on Draft Day, but right now they should be considered as nothing more than WR4 or 5 with some upside.
Sun, 17 Feb 2013 17:49:14 -0800 If impending free-agent WRs Danny Amendola (Rams) and Brandon Gibson (Rams) are not brought back, that would leave St. Louis Rams WRs Chris Givens, Austin Pettis and Brian Quick as the only wideouts under contract with the team in 2013. However, head coach Jeff Fisher doesn't sound concerned either way, noting the team could look for help outside the organization. "Not a concern whatsoever," Fisher said. "There's options out there. The free-agent market, there's options out there, and it's a great draft for a receiver this year."
Thu, 24 Jan 2013 12:01:33 -0800 Marshall WR Aaron Dobson may see his draft stock rise after a good week at the Senior Bowl. "I think I've done pretty well," said Dobson in reference to his practice performance at the Senior Bowl in Mobile this week. "I think everybody is seeing what kind of receiver I am. I'm showcasing myself in front of a lot of talent out there. There's a lot of talent. I'm just trying to let everybody know that I deserve to be here and I can play." ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper thinks Dobson's stock is poised to rise. "He's a kid that could be a lot like Brian Quick was last year from Appalachian State," said Kiper. "Dobson is going to have a big Senior Bowl. He has size and didn't have a quarterback that could get him the ball on a consistent basis. He's very athletic. When he's had the opportunity to go up and make a play he's made it. He could be in the late first round discussion or certainly in the early to mid-second round discussion as a guy that nobody is talking about that could emerge."
Fri, 16 Nov 2012 13:18:59 -0800 St. Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher said the team will look to get WR Brian Quick more involved down the stretch. Quick has been limited to a handful of plays at wide receiver each week, but he's becoming more comfortable in a special teams role as the season progresses. Quick saw more action with WR Chris Givens disciplined last week, and he's learning to react more in his routes instead of thinking his way through them. Quick's touchdown play last week has given him the needed confidence moving forward.
Tue, 30 Oct 2012 19:59:52 -0700 St. Louis Rams WR Brian Quick has been slow to show much or play much, and he hasn't looked ready to play. The team's second-round draft pick has the size to give the team much-needed help in the red zone and on third down.
Sun, 23 Sep 2012 08:46:24 -0700 The St. Louis Rams have declared QB Austin Davis, WR Brian Quick, SS Matt Daniels, DL Matt Conrath, DL Michael Brockers, OT Rodger Saffold, RB Terrance Ganaway inactive for Week 3.
Tue, 28 Aug 2012 19:14:17 -0700 St. Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher wants to get WRs Chris Givens and Brian Quick time with the first-team offense in the preseason finale, although he also admitted WR Steve E. Smith hasn't had much chance to work with QB Sam Bradford either. "Yes, there's a chance I'll move them up. I'd like to see Givens and Quick in there, but they're all young receivers," Fisher said. "You take, for example, Steve Smith's case. He hasn't really had an opportunity to work with Sam. We'll play as many as we can earlier in the game and with the numbers down, they'll be playing throughout the game."
Tue, 21 Aug 2012 11:10:30 -0700 St. Louis Rams WR Brian Quick is having a terrific preseason, using his size to his advantage. While still playing with the second-team offense, Quick has stood out, and as Rams QB Sam Bradford pointed out, it appears that the light bulb has come on for him. The next step for Quick will be getting reps with the first-team offense.
Mon, 20 Aug 2012 13:10:06 -0700 St. Louis Rams rookie WRs Brian Quick and Chris Givens will both see action for the team. The straight ahead speed Givens brings to the table may allow him to see a bit more time than Quick, who has had some dropped balls and is still learning to use his size in the NFL.
Mon, 20 Aug 2012 12:53:29 -0700 St. Louis Rams rookie WR Brian Quick (back spasms) left the team's preseason game Saturday, Aug. 18, early with back spasms. The injury does not appear to be serious. Quick had three catches for 20 yards during the game and used his size to create problems for the defense. He just missed out on a potential 9-yard touchdown. If he keeps working hard, he could become an asset in the red zone.
Wed, 08 Aug 2012 08:49:30 -0700 St. Louis Rams WR Brian Quick is coming on after a slow start to training camp. Quick has been solid the last two days of practice.
Sat, 04 Aug 2012 18:12:26 -0700 St. Louis Rams WR Chris Givens appears to be slightly ahead in his development than WR Brian Quick. Givens is a deep threat from the flanker position, while Quick has been a bit inconsistent early on. The coaches are working with Quick to get him to show more flashes as a big receiver at the split-end position.
Sun, 29 Jul 2012 20:19:20 -0700 St. Louis Rams WRs Danny Amendola, Chris Givens and Brian Quick are considered locks for the final roster.
Sun, 17 Jun 2012 10:38:38 -0700 The St. Louis Rams aren't going to ease rookie WR Brian Quick, a second-round draft choice, into the offense. Quick is being treated almost as a first-round pick, as the team needs him to step up immediately as a big-play receiver if they are going to have a more productive offense this year. The Rams are expecting him to dominate down field, be fearless over the middle, be bold and become a serious scoring threat for QB Sam Bradford. "I'm going to step up to the plate and make plays and do the things I need to do to help the team and be a better player," Quick said. Fantasy Tip: Quick is an intriguing option for fantasy football squads this year, but you have to temper your expectations. Draft him as a WR4 or WR5; if he is able to quickly absorb everything, he could easily out-play his draft position.

Quick's base salaries of $390,000 and $634,845 over the first two years of the deal are fully guaranteed, and $440,000 of his $879,690 2014 base salary is fully guaranteed. Sat, 28 Apr 2012 15:59:54 -0700 St. Louis Rams rookie WRs Brian Quick and Chris Givens complement each other well. Quick is 6-foot-3 and 222 pounds and his skill set is a nice complement to Givens, who is 5-foot-11 and 198 pounds and known for having straight-line speed. "We're going to come in and work hard and try to get the Greatest Show on Turf back," Givens said.
Sat, 28 Apr 2012 08:12:26 -0700 St. Louis Rams receivers coach Ray Sherman sees in WR Brian Quick similarities to former NFL WR Terrell Owens. "I see a lot of similarities to Terrell Owens," Sherman said. "The way the kid goes and gets the ball, the physicality, the desire ... he has a chance to be special, no doubt."
Fri, 27 Apr 2012 21:11:20 -0700 St. Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher likes the potential of WR Brian Quick. "You know what was interesting, we went to Appalachian State last weekend and worked him out. We had both of our quarterbacks (QB Tom Brandstater) and (QB Kellen Clemens) throw, and when we got in the car to head to the airport they said, 'Wow'."
Fri, 27 Apr 2012 16:02:27 -0700 The St. Louis Rams selected Appalachian State WR Brian Quick with the 33rd overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. Fantasy Tip: Quick may not what he is in terms of producing in the NFL, as he comes from a small school and needs to acclimate himself to the pro game. The 6-foot-3 1/2, 220-pounder is a great red zone presence and is dangerous in the open field. more »

After not landing a wide receiver in the first round, the Rams are almost a lock to take one early in the second round. Options for the team appear to be WRs Brian Quick (Appalachian State), Rueben Randle (Louisiana State) and Chris Givens (Wake Forest). The team is likely to use one of their other second-round selections on a linebacker and adding a guard is also a possibility.
