Philadelphia Eagles FB Emil Igwenagu made his first NFL start in Week 16 against the Washington Redskins in place of FB Stanley Havili (hamstring).

Philadelphia Eagles FB Emil Igwenagu will be the team's starting fullback because of the injury to FB Stanley Havili (hamstring). The team had planned to use Igwenagu at tight end and RB Chris Polk (toe) at fullback but Polk is listed as doubtful for the game and is not expected to play.

Philadelphia Eagles FB Stanley Havili (hamstring) is not expected to suit up in Week 16. Head coach Andy Reid said that RB Chris Polk would start in Havili's place and FB Emil Igwenagu could also fill in. Igwenagu will also back up TE Brent Celek.

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid indicated the team may keep a fullback on the final roster since a fullback is needed in the team's offense. FBs Stanley Havili and Emil Igwenagu are the fullbacks currently on the roster.

Philadelphia Eagles FBs Emil Igwenagu and Stanley Havili are expected to battle for the team's fullback job during training camp and the preseason. Igwenagu has good athleticism, but blocking is apparently his biggest issue. It likely won't be determined until several days into training camp if he can make the roster.
