The St. Louis Rams are likely to add more running backs to the roster before the start of training camp, as the team has only RBs Terrance Ganaway and Chase Reynolds on the roster after RBs Isaiah Pead and Daryl Richardson. "We'll fill the position," head coach Jeff Fisher said. "When and how I don't know."

Rams | Isaiah Pead might see more game reps

Tue, 06 Nov 2012 18:02:08 -0800

St. Louis Rams RB Isaiah Pead showed well late in the Week 8 game against the New England Patriots, and head coach Jeff Fisher indicated he might have earned more playing time. "We are going to try to get him some touches. It makes sense. You are playing in an NFL game; you are playing against NFL players and for him to flash like that regardless of the situation in the game was pretty impressive," Fisher said.

Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis doesn't see the team trading for St. Louis Rams RB Steven Jackson before the deadline Thursday, Nov. 1. In fact, the Bengals were more interested in RB Isaiah Pead during the draft earlier this year, but the Rams aren't going to be giving him up.

Rams | No offensive touches for Isaiah Pead

Sun, 09 Sep 2012 20:09:19 -0700

St. Louis Rams RB Isaiah Pead did not have any carries or receptions in Week 1 against the Detroit Lions, although he was able to play. Pead's only game action came with one kickoff return for 25 yards. RB Daryl Richardson apparently past Pead on the team's depth chart. Richardson carried twice for 20 yards.

Fantasy Tip: Pead was drafted in the later rounds as a handcuff for fantasy owners of RB Steven Jackson, but it might be a good idea to swap out Pead for Washington. Other than that, neither is particularly attractive in weekly formats unless Jackson suffers a long-term injury.

Rams | Isaiah Pead not being helped by backup offensive line

Mon, 20 Aug 2012 12:53:14 -0700

St. Louis Rams rookie RB Isaiah Pead needs to embrace a north-south running style. He ran backward at times during the team's preseason game Saturday, Aug. 18, and his eight touches resulted in minus-8 yards. In his defense, the second-string offensive line has not given him a lot to work with during the past two games.

Sat, 04 Aug 2012 18:13:28 -0700

The St. Louis Rams plan to use RB Steven Jackson more in the upcoming season. The new offense under head coach Jeff Fisher and offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer is a run-first approach featuring Jackson, supplemented by rookie RB Isaiah Pead. Jackson, and Pead, will also be running behind a fullback this season.
