Redskins | Kirk Cousins could be tagged again

Tue, 23 May 2017 07:32:51 -0700

Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins could receive a third consecutive franchise tag next offseason, according to team president Bruce Allen. The cost of a third straight franchise tag would be $34 million in 2018.

Fantasy Tip: Cousins has had two brilliant seasons in a row, and there's very little risk with him as your midrange QB1 if you miss out on the studs.

Browns | Cleveland looking to acquire Kirk Cousins

Thu, 27 Apr 2017 17:56:11 -0700

Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins is a player the Cleveland Browns are trying to acquire.

Fantasy Tip: The Browns have been looking to find a long-term quarterback for a while and are working on acquiring Cousins. Cousins has played well over the last two seasons but received the franchise tag for the second straight offseason. He would be the starting quarterback if the Browns add him, but he would not have a lot of weapons to work with in the passing game. Owners in fantasy leagues can consider Cousins a fringe No. 1 quarterback or a solid No. 2 quarterback.

Redskins | Terrelle Pryor works out with Kirk Cousins

Sat, 15 Apr 2017 12:34:52 -0700

Washington Redskins WR Terrelle Pryor recently worked out with QB Kirk Cousins in order to work on their timing on the field. Pryor said Cousins also helped him learn the playbook during a meeting they had before working out.

Fantasy Tip: Pryor will be a starter for the Redskins next season and could be the No. 1 receiver depending on who is on the roster. He posted 1,007 yards and four touchdowns in 2016 and could see more targets with Cousins as his quarterback. He can be considered a No. 3 receiver in most fantasy leagues.

Redskins | Kirk Cousins says ball is in team's court

Tue, 11 Apr 2017 19:48:45 -0700

Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins said "the ball's in the team's court" regarding negotiations for a long-term contract, and that he was assured by owner Dan Snyder and president Bruce Allen he won't be traded prior to the upcoming season. "The team would need to make that decision and say that this is a guy we're going to commit to in the long haul," Cousins stated. "I'm very comfortable playing under the franchise tag."

Fantasy Tip: None of this should really be a surprise to anyone. It's already been reported how Washington has immediately shot down any potential trade suitors for the 28-year-old quarterback, while he continues to maintain that he would like to get a long-term deal done with the franchise. Either way, Cousins has the ability to offer sneaky QB1 potential for 2017 later on in drafts.

Redskins | Kirk Cousins hasn't received new offer

Thu, 30 Mar 2017 16:19:47 -0700

Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins still hasn't received a new offer from the team since February, one that involved getting "roughly" $20 million per year with a low guarantee.

Fantasy Tip: No matter what, Cousins is going to be playing under center once again in Washington in 2017, considering how the club has immediately shot down any trade suitors, but his future with the Redskins beyond next season looks murky. Regardless, he'll enter the new campaign with QB1 potential in fantasy.

Redskins | Redskins shoot down Kirk Cousins suitors

Tue, 14 Mar 2017 20:12:44 -0700

Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins is still garnering interest, as three other teams have tried to trade for him "in the last 10 days or so," only to be "quickly shot down," according to a league source.

Fantasy Tip: While Cousins' situation in Washington will be tricky beyond 2017, it appears the club is firmly set with him as their starting quarterback going into next season, and who can blame them? The 28-year-old has topped 4,100 passing yards in each of the past two seasons, while compiling 54 touchdowns compared to only 23 interceptions over that span. He'll have QB1 potential in most formats.

Redskins | Terrelle Pryor to work with Kirk Cousins

Tue, 14 Mar 2017 10:07:09 -0700

Washington Redskins WR Terrelle Pryor has made plans to practice with Redskins QB Kirk Cousins and wide receivers in late April, Pryor said during his introductory press conference Monday, March 13.

Fantasy Tip: Pryor has a wealth of upside in this offense and intends to get to work early. This is nothing but good news for fantasy gamers, who should look to him as a WR2.

Redskins | Kirk Cousins won't sign long-term deal

Fri, 10 Mar 2017 10:37:32 -0800

Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins will reportedly not agree to a long-term deal with the team as long as team president Bruce Allen remains in power.

Fantasy Tip: This is a direct response to the haphazard way the Redskins handled the departure of former general manager Scott McCloughan and an unsurprising stand despite the fact the ink is still probably still drying after Cousins signed his one-year franchise tender earlier Friday. With DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon gone and so much chaos surrounding the franchise, Cousins is going to be hard to trust in fantasy in 2017.

Redskins | Kirk Cousins signs tender

Fri, 10 Mar 2017 08:26:40 -0800

Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins signed his franchise tender Friday, March 10. He can now be traded, but the team has shown no indication of doing so.

Fantasy Tip: Cousins is in a sticky situation where he has asked for a trade, and the team lost its top two receivers. He has earned midrange QB1 status the last two years, but with these other factors coming into play, one has to wonder if there is more risk than upside for more.

Redskins | Kirk Cousins will sign tender

Thu, 09 Mar 2017 17:12:14 -0800

Updating an ongoing story, Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins will sign his franchise tag tender soon, and he will be a "good soldier," according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Fantasy Tip: Cousins most likely will remain with the Redskins in 2017. The offense lost DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon, so a step backward statistically seems inevitable for Cousins. He's a high-end QB2 for most gaming circles.

Redskins | Kirk Cousins asked for trade

Thu, 09 Mar 2017 08:44:27 -0800

Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins asked owner Dan Snyder for a trade, but he was essentially told not to get his hopes up, according to sources.

Fantasy Tip: Cousins has had two banner seasons in a row, but with the turmoil and uncertainty, you're probably buying him a little high as a midrange QB1 with some bust potential. He's also likely to lose two of his receivers. It's a juicy story, but there are safer options this year.

Redskins | Kirk Cousins, Redskins discussing deal

Thu, 02 Mar 2017 12:16:43 -0800

Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins and the Redskins are discussing a long-term deal worth $20 million per year, according to a source. Cousins' franchise tag is worth around $24 million this year.

Fantasy Tip: Cousins will be paid big money either way, but the Redskins want to lock up who they believe to be their quarterback of the future for a long time. Cousins has cemented himself as a QB1 and should be drafted as such even if DeSean Jackson does not return to the District of Columbia.

Redskins | Trade for Kirk Cousins still possible

Tue, 28 Feb 2017 11:35:48 -0800

Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins "remains in play" to be traded despite receiving the exclusive franchise tag on Tuesday, Feb. 28, according to the Washington Post's Mark Maske.

Fantasy Tip: ESPN's John Keim reported earlier Tuesday the San Francisco 49ers are the only team Cousins is willing to sign a long-term contract with "right now" - a move that would reunite him with his former offensive coordinator (and new 49ers head coach) Kyle Shanahan. Maske does nothing to dispute that possibility. San Francisco has ten draft picks at the moment, including No. 2 overall, so it has the ammunition to pull the trigger. A move to the bay area would send Cousins into fantasy QB2 territory in 2017.

Redskins | Kirk Cousins gets exclusive franchise tag

Tue, 28 Feb 2017 10:43:39 -0800

Impending free-agent QB Kirk Cousins (Redskins) received the exclusive franchise tag on Tuesday, Feb. 28, prohibiting him to negotiate with other teams.

Fantasy Tip: The only real question for weeks was whether or not Washington would choose the exclusive or non-exclusive tag, so this answers that question. The exclusive tag guarantees Cousins a 20-percent raise on his 2016 salary of $19.953 million, but the fact the Redskins don't appear anywhere close to signing him long-term throws gas on the fire to the rumors he could leave for the San Francisco 49ers after the season. For 2017, however, Cousins projects to be a low-end QB1 in fantasy.

49ers | Kirk Cousins likes 49ers

Tue, 28 Feb 2017 06:28:48 -0800

Washington Redskins impending free-agent QB Kirk Cousins would sign with the San Francisco 49ers to reunite with head coach Kyle Shanahan.

Fantasy Tip: Cousins is likely to receive the franchise tag again from the Redskins, and this topic could be on hold for another year. Cousins has had two banner seasons in a row, and he's in the midrange QB1 area in fantasy.

Redskins | Kirk Cousins should be tagged

Mon, 27 Feb 2017 11:04:02 -0800

Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins is expected to receive the franchise tag before the franchise tag deadline Wednesday, March 1.

Fantasy Tip: This won't be a big surprise if/when it happens. It makes sense for Washington to tag Cousins again so they have more time to discuss a long-term contract. Cousins has solidified his place in QB1 territory after the last two years. Expect another season of 4,000 or more yards and at least a couple dozen touchdowns.

Redskins | Kirk Cousins red-hot during middle of 2016

Wed, 22 Feb 2017 20:30:18 -0800

Impending free-agent QB Kirk Cousins was mostly average as a passer in September (79-of-124 for 989 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions) and December (85-of-134, 1,090 yards, four TDs and three interceptions) but excelled in October and November (combined 220-of-313 for 2,551 yards, 17 TDs and four interceptions).

Fantasy Tip: Included in that midseason explosion was a 375-yard, three-score performance against a shorthanded Green Bay Packers secondary and garbage-time inspired 449-yard, three-TD effort on Thanksgiving Day against the Dallas Cowboys. Cousins is likely to receive the franchise tag soon, but it fair to wonder if he deserves it. He is certain to be drafted as a QB1 in the likely event he remains with Washington this season, but he could disappoint with DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garšon likely departing via free agency.

Redskins | Kirk Cousins tag would bloat cap space

Tue, 21 Feb 2017 06:41:53 -0800

Washington Redskins impending free-agent QB Kirk Cousins, who could potentially receive the franchise tag at $23.9 million, would account for 35 percent of the team's salary cap with CB Josh Norman ($20 million) and OT Trent Williams ($15.1 million).

Fantasy Tip: Cousins' numbers were on par, in some places better, than his breakout 2015 campaign. He has proven to be a solid fantasy option in the low-end QB1 range.

Redskins | Kirk Cousins won't sign long-term deal?

Mon, 20 Feb 2017 21:36:53 -0800

Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins will not sign a long-term deal prior to the March 1 deadline when the club can apply the franchise tag, according to "a source with knowledge of the situation."

Fantasy Tip: Well, even if that is the case, the Redskins can still lock up Cousins over the long haul by turning a potential franchise tag into a long-term contract, and the deadline for that would be July 15. Either way, it looks like Cousins will be entering his sixth straight campaign in a Washington uniform, and after another fabulous showing in 2016, he'll have low-end QB1 potential.

Redskins | Jordan Reed endorses Kirk Cousins

Sat, 18 Feb 2017 19:16:47 -0800

Washington Redskins TE Jordan Reed said bringing back impending free-agent QB Kirk Cousins should be a top priority this offseason.

Fantasy Tip: Reed is one of the best fantasy tight ends in the game when he isn't dealing with injuries. If Cousins is back under center in Washington in 2017, Reed should remain a TE1 in all formats.

Redskins | Kirk Cousins wants tag?

Fri, 17 Feb 2017 20:12:14 -0800

Washington Redskins impending free-agent QB Kirk Cousins would prefer to receive the franchise tag again in 2017 because he doesn't want to remain with the team long term, according to former Redskins officials.

Fantasy Tip: Cousins will likely be back in Washington in 2017 one way or the other, and he has shown over the last two years he is capable of providing big numbers. He will be a borderline QB1 next season.

Redskins | No progress with Kirk Cousins

Tue, 14 Feb 2017 15:56:10 -0800

Washington Redskins impending free-agent QB Kirk Cousins and the Redskins have not yet come close to an agreement on a long-term contract, according to sources. Thus, placing the franchise tag on Cousins for a second consecutive year is a real possibility. If Cousins is tagged, he would earn $23.94 million compared to the $19.95 million he earned last season. The goal of both sides, however, is to hammer out a long-term deal.

Fantasy Tip: There's no question Cousins deserves a long-term contract. He has two straight 4,000-yard seasons, including 4,917 yards in 2016 -- a franchise record. In addition, he has led the Redskins to two straight winning seasons while becoming a fixture in QB1 territory of fantasy football leagues. His running ability only adds to the lure. Assuming he does return to Washington, he's a low-end QB1 consideration.

Redskins | 'High likelihood' Kirk Cousins is tagged?

Thu, 09 Feb 2017 16:02:22 -0800

Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins and the team have shown "no indications that the sides are venturing closer in negotiations" and as a result, Mike Jones of the Washington Post believes there is a "high likelihood" that Cousins receives the franchise tag for the second straight year. That means he'd receive a raise in salary from $20 million to $24 million for the upcoming campaign, but the Redskins would lose all future leverage in trying to lock him up after that.

Fantasy Tip: Team president Bruce Allen and head coach Jay Gruden have been vocal about keeping Cousins, but it seems the two sides just can't agree on a long-term deal. They have about three weeks before deciding whether or not to use the franchise tag, and if that is indeed the case, it is seen as unlikely that Cousins would be back after next season. Either way, the 28-year-old is coming off his second straight stellar campaign and should be viewed as a low-end QB1 going into drafts in 2017.

49ers | Kirk Cousins remains No. 1 choice

Sun, 05 Feb 2017 23:20:04 -0800

Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins remains the top choice of the San Francisco 49ers, should Cousins file for free agency.

Fantasy Tip: Cousins can be tagged franchise for another year, so we have to be careful to say a move to the 49ers is not etched in stone. Still, the Redskins are evaluating their needs and may decide keeping Cousins isn't worth the cost. A Cousins move would instantly upgrade the 49ers, but this is all still quite fluid.

Redskins | WAS optimistic about Kirk Cousins deal

Fri, 03 Feb 2017 15:58:51 -0800

Washington Redskins president Bruce Allen said he is optimistic that the Redskins will be able to sign impending free-agent QB Kirk Cousins to a long-term deal. "I don't think it's as complicated as everyone wants to make it. And we'll get together with his agent, and I'm sure we'll come to an agreement," Allen said.

Fantasy Tip: It appears that Cousins will return to the Redskins under the franchise tag or with a new contract. He nearly posted 5,000 yards this season and finished with 25 touchdowns but could lose some of his targets with DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon scheduled to be free agents as well. Cousins can be considered a low-end No. 1 quarterback in most fantasy leagues in 2017.

Redskins | Kirk Cousins happy with OC choice

Sat, 28 Jan 2017 10:34:14 -0800

Washington Redskins impending free-agent QB Kirk Cousins said he is happy that the Redskins named Matt Cavanaugh as their offensive coordinator because he would not have to learn a new offense if he re-signs with the Redskins.

Fantasy Tip: The Redskins will try to sign Cousins to a long-term deal, but Cousins probably will receive the franchise tag if an agreement is not reached. Cousins finished this season with 4,917 yards, 25 touchdowns and 12 interceptions and can be considered a low-end No. 1 quarterback in deeper leagues.

Redskins | Kirk Cousins played well against Dallas

Fri, 27 Jan 2017 17:18:07 -0800

Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins went 69-for-99 for 813 yards, four touchdowns and one interception against the Dallas Cowboys this season.

Fantasy Tip: Cousins was one of the few quarterbacks to have success against the Cowboys this season when he averaged 406.5 yards, two touchdowns and 0.5 interceptions in two games. He also posted career highs in completions and passing yards in 2016. He probably will return to the Redskins for at least one more years and can be considered a low-end No. 1 quarterback in most fantasy drafts.

Redskins | Kirk Cousins willing to play under tag

Thu, 26 Jan 2017 11:13:14 -0800

Washington Redskins impending free-agent QB Kirk Cousins said he would be willing to play under the franchise tag if the Redskins place it on him for the second straight year.

Fantasy Tip: Cousins would prefer a long-term contract but should be willing to accept the franchise tag because of the big salary he would receive. Cousins finished the 2016 season with 4,917 yards, 25 touchdowns and 12 interceptions and could be a low-end No. 1 quarterback in deeper leagues depending on where he plays.

Redskins | WAS president says Kirk Cousins will stay

Tue, 24 Jan 2017 20:44:53 -0800

Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins will return in 2017, according to team president Bruce Allen. When asked, on a scale of 1-to-10, the likelihood of Cousins being back with the club next season, Allen said he'd put it as a "10." He also added, "Yeah, Kirk is our quarterback. He's played well the last two years. I know there's other speculation, but it doesn't come from the Redskins."

Fantasy Tip: Head coach Jay Gruden echoed this same sentiment earlier in the day, so it does appear like Cousins will indeed be back with the club next season. However, it's still unknown just how Washington plans on keeping the 28-year-old, as the two sides were unable to agree on a long-term deal last year, and a second season under the franchise tag would cost the Skins $23.934 million. There's still plenty of time left in this saga.

Redskins | Kirk Cousins should return

Tue, 24 Jan 2017 15:02:08 -0800

Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins is expected to return to the Redskins, according to head coach Jay Gruden. Cousins will be on the free-agent market this offseason.

Fantasy Tip: There should be a good amount of interest in Cousins this offseason, but Washington is the favorite to retain the quarterback. They'll likely have to pay a pretty penny for him, however. Cousins has plenty of weapons to throw to in Washington and has achieved QB1 status in each of the last two seasons. There's no reason to view him differently next season.

49ers | San Fran likely to pursue Kirk Cousins

Sat, 21 Jan 2017 15:08:32 -0800

Impending free-agent QB Kirk Cousins will likely be pursued hard by the San Francisco 49ers, even if the Washington Redskins end up using the franchise tag on him again, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Fantasy Tip: There is some obvious dot-connecting going on here, as Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan - expected to be named the 49ers head coach soon - served in the same capacity in Washington when Cousins was drafted. It also would fill an obvious need, as San Francisco has been without a long-term solution at quarterback for a while.

Redskins | Kirk Cousins can still improve

Mon, 02 Jan 2017 14:39:25 -0800

Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins needs to improve reading coverages and making off-script plays if he wants to take his game to the next level, according to head coach Jay Gruden.

Fantasy Tip: Cousins has put together solid back-to-back seasons now, amassing over 9,000 passing yards combined in that span. He should make a pretty nice paycheck this offseason and is easily a QB1 consideration for 2017 fantasy drafts.

Redskins | Kirk Cousins totals 300 yards, three TDs

Sat, 24 Dec 2016 15:56:55 -0800

Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins went 18-of-29 for 270 yards and one touchdowns and rushed five times for 30 yards and two more touchdowns in a Week 16 win over the Chicago Bears.

Fantasy Tip: Cousins scored on a read-option play inside the 10 in the first half and again on a quarterback sneak in the third quarter. Cousins did most of his damage in the first half on chunk plays to DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon before Washington took the air out of the ball for most of the second half. The Redskins will be playing for their playoff lives next week against the New York Giants, and Cousins should be treated as a low-end QB1 at best in that difficult matchup.

Redskins | No touchdowns for Kirk Cousins

Mon, 19 Dec 2016 22:08:34 -0800

Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins completed 32 of his 47 pass attempts for 315 yards, no touchdowns and an interception in the Week 15 game against the Carolina Panthers Monday, Dec. 19. He also rushed twice for a team-high 11 yards.

Fantasy Tip: The fact Cousins led the team in rushing with 11 yards shows you the kind of night the Redskins offense had against the Panthers. Cousins has emerged as a solid QB1 in most fantasy leagues, but this one didnĺt do much for their overall totals.

Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins was 14-of-21 for 234 yards, with two touchdowns and a pick-6 interception, in a win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins was 21-for-37 for 271 yards, one touchdown and one interception in a 31-23 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

Fantasy Tip: Cousins has a feisty spirit and attitude, and it translates to the football field. The Arizona defense was just one step ahead of Cousins in this game. Cousins still rates as a QB1 down the stretch.

The Washington Redskins are expected to place the franchise tag on QB Kirk Cousins if they are unable to agree to a long-term contract extension by the time free agency opens in March, according to a source familiar with the situation. Cousins is earning $19.95 million this season.

Fantasy Tip: The 28-year-old Cousins is having a remarkable season, with a 101.4 quarterback rating, 3,540 passing yards, 20 touchdowns and just seven interceptions through 11 games. He should be viewed as a low-end QB1 in the majority of fantasy leagues.

Sat, 26 Nov 2016 20:27:26 -0800

Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins said there is not one "overarching fix" to an offense that ranks 28th in the NFL in red zone touchdown efficiency.

Fantasy Tip: Despite the issues in the red zone, Cousins has enjoyed a strong season and is currently on pace to eclipse 5,000 yards. Deploy him as a low-end QB1 against the Cardinals in Week 13.

Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins completed 41 of his 53 passes for 449 yards and three touchdowns in a 31-26 loss to the Dallas Cowboys Thursday, Nov. 24.

Fantasy Tip: Cousins is hitting his stride. He has tossed 10 touchdowns in his last four games and has topped 300 yards in four of his last five. He draws the Cardinals in Week 13 and should deliver as a low-end QB1.

Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins may receive the franchise tag again this offseason if the two sides are not able to reach a long-term agreement, according to sources. The Redskins are willing to pay Cousins $24 million for one season if it keeps him off the free-agent market.

Fantasy Tip: Cousins has played well this season and has thrown for at least 300 yards in three of his last four games with eight touchdowns during that span. He should be considered a low-end No. 1 quarterback in deeper fantasy leagues.

Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins was 22-for-33 for 262 yards and two touchdowns in a 26-20 win over the Minnesota Vikings.

Fantasy Tip: Cousins needs more games like this if chatter about his status in D.C. is to quiet down. Cousins had a decent day with two-thirds of his passes complete, and more importantly he had no picks.

Redskins | Kirk Cousins has big performance

Sun, 30 Oct 2016 10:31:52 -0700

Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins went 38-for-56 for 458 yards, two touchdowns and one interception against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 8.

Fantasy Tip: Cousins has thrown for at least 260 yards in seven of his eight games this season and has at least one touchdown in each of his last seven games. Cousins could be a low-end No. 1 quarterback in deeper leagues.

Redskins | Kirk Cousins throws for 301 yards

Sun, 23 Oct 2016 17:48:37 -0700

Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins completed 30 of his 39 pass attempts for 301 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in the Week 7 game against the Detroit Lions. He also rushed three times for 19 yards and a touchdown.

Fantasy Tip: Cousins has managed three 300-yard games this season, and four outings with 296 or more yards and he has at least one touchdown pass in each of his past five games. Cousins has started to take better care of the ball and he has re-emerged as a decent low-end QB1 in fantasy leagues of 14 or more teams. The Redskins meet the Cincinnati Bengals in London in Week 8.

Redskins | Another strong game for Kirk Cousins

Sun, 16 Oct 2016 13:40:29 -0700

Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins threw for two touchdowns and 263 yards Sunday, Oct. 16, in a 27-20 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Fantasy Tip: Cousins didn't complete 16 of his 34 pass attempts, but he looked much better than Carson Wentz and guided the Redskins in the right direction. A couple of weeks ago some people wanted to turn on Cousins, but he has righted the ship for now. He remains a strong start.

Redskins | Kirk Cousins struggles without Jordan Reed

Sat, 15 Oct 2016 10:42:37 -0700

Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins has thrown for 32 touchdown passes versus 12 interceptions with Jordan Reed (concussion) on the field over the last two seasons, good for a 102.3 passer rating. Without Reed on the field, Cousins has 14 TDs and 13 interceptions, contributing to a passer rating of 84.4.

Fantasy Tip: This comes up as a result of Reed likely not playing Week 6 against the Philadelphia Eagles due to a concussion. DeSean Jackson, Pierre Garšon and Jamison Crowder are all expected to see more targets as a result of Reed's likely absence, but owners should be able to do better than Cousins at quarterback this week, especially if he is minus his top weapon.

Sun, 09 Oct 2016 14:40:57 -0700

Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins went 29-for-41 for 260 yards, one touchdown and one interception against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 5.

Fantasy Tip: Cousins has thrown for at 260 yards in four of the five games this season but has also thrown five interceptions during that span. He is scheduled to face the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 6 and may not be the best option for fantasy owners.

Redskins | Kirk Cousins scores three TDs

Sun, 02 Oct 2016 14:52:53 -0700

Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins threw for three touchdown passes and 183 yards in a 31-20 win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, Oct. 2.

Fantasy Tip: Cousins threw two scores to TE Jordan Reed. A win is a win, but yardage leagues saw Cousins give owners little to work with in that victory. Still, in traditional scoring leagues those three touchdowns helped out big time. Cousins will have fluctuating scores moving forward, but he's more effective overall than not.
