The New York Jets may use the 4-3 defensive alignment more often next season. LB David Harris would be the middle linebacker while LB Demario Davis would be the weakside linebacker. DL Quinton Coples could be used as a defensive end in that alignment.

New York Jets LB Bart Scott (toe) was replaced last week on the field by LB Demario Davis, who is faster and more athletic. It is believed that even when Scott heals, he won't be back in the lineup, as the Jets try to inject speed and athleticism into their aging and slow linebacking corps.
