Bears | Kendall Wright still limited

Wed, 13 Dec 2017 14:56:49 -0800

Chicago Bears WR Kendall Wright (shoulder) was limited in practice Wednesday, Dec. 13.

Fantasy Tip: Wright went off last week as Mitchell Trubisky's go-to target, but that could have just been a flash in the pan. Wright is a risky play in Week 15, especially if he'll be shadowed by Detroit Lions cornerback Darius Slay.

Bears | Limited practice for Kendall Wright

Tue, 12 Dec 2017 11:28:09 -0800

Chicago Bears WR Kendall Wright (shoulder) was limited in practice Tuesday, Dec. 12.

Fantasy Tip: Wright is coming off a breakout performance of 10 catches for 107 yards on 11 targets. It's hard to count on any Bears wide receiver on a week-to-week basis, and Wright could be shadowed by Detroit Lions cornerback Darius Slay. You can do better than Wright in the fantasy playoffs.

Bears | Kendall Wright hits century mark

Sun, 10 Dec 2017 15:29:03 -0800

Chicago Bears WR Kendall Wright posted season highs with 10 receptions, 107 yards and 11 targets in Week 14 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Fantasy Tip: Wright is still just 28 years old and has plenty left in the tank, but he has been waiting for an NFL caliber quarterback in Chicago this season. He finally jelled nicely with Mitchell Trubisky in this one and the duo will look to build going forward. Despite the big day Wright is still a rather risky fantasy play heading into Week 15 at Minnesota.

Bears | Kendall Wright held in check

Sun, 29 Oct 2017 14:37:35 -0700

Chicago Bears WR Kendall Wright caught two passes for 23 yards against the New Orleans Saints in Week 8.

Fantasy Tip: Wright was targeted eight times against the Saints but finished with only two catches. He should continue to be a starting receiver for the Bears but would only be a flex option in deeper leagues against certain opponents.

Bears | Kendall Wright finds the end zone

Thu, 28 Sep 2017 22:22:23 -0700

Chicago Bears WR Kendall Wright tallied four receptions, 51 yards and a touchdown against the Green Bay Packers in Week 4.

Fantasy Tip: Wright caught all four of his targeted passes and led the team in receiving yards while grabbing the lone touchdown strike from Mike Glennon. It was a bit of a bounce back after the goose egg he posted in Week 3, but Wright has minimal value outside of deep formats.

Bears | Kendall Wright nowhere to be found

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 17:05:19 -0700

Chicago Bears WR Kendall Wright did not have any receptions or targets in Week 3 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Fantasy Tip: It was an ugly performance for all Chicago wide receivers, and Wright has been unable to do anything despite a golden opportunity with Cameron Meredith and Kevin White done for the season with injuries. You can safely drop Wright from all fantasy rosters if you were depending on him previously.

Fri, 22 Sep 2017 12:57:59 -0700

Chicago Bears WR Kendall Wright (shoulder) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 22, and is not on the injury report for Week 3.

Fantasy Tip: Wright has become the team's No. 1 receiver and is coming off a solid Week 2 performance when he caught seven passes for 69 yards. He will be facing a good Pittsburgh Steelers defense this week and could be benched if owners have better options to use.

Bears | Kendall Wright still limited

Thu, 21 Sep 2017 14:44:32 -0700

Chicago Bears WR Kendall Wright (shoulder) was limited in practice Thursday, Sept. 21.

Fantasy Tip: Wright is off to somewhat of a slow start even with both Cameron Meredith and Kevin White sidelined for the year. He did catch seven passes for 69 yards last week, though, so don't completely disregard him as a flex consideration.

Bears | Kendall Wright catches seven passes

Sun, 17 Sep 2017 13:36:31 -0700

Chicago Bears WR Kendall Wright caught seven passes for 69 yards against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 2.

Fantasy Tip: Wright will serve as the No. 1 receiver for the Bears moving forward because of the injuries the team has at the position. He probably will be avoided most of the time but could be a flex option in point-per-reception leagues against certain opponents.

Bears | Kendall Wright so-so in team debut

Sun, 10 Sep 2017 15:32:25 -0700

Chicago Bears WR Kendall Wright posted three receptions for 34 yards on four targets in Week 1 against the Falcons.

Fantasy Tip: Wright and Josh Bellamy basically split the work down the middle with Cameron Meredith (knee) out for the season and Kevin White (shoulder) exiting the game early. Early reports suggest White's injury is of the season-ending variety, so Wright and Bellamy would be the top options in the passing game going forward. Still, they both should be treated as WR4 options in fantasy leagues of 12 or more teams.

Bears | Evaluating Chicago's WRs

Mon, 05 Jun 2017 06:43:58 -0700

Chicago Bears WRs Cameron Meredith (thumb), Kevin White and Markus Wheaton (shoulder) are considered locks to make the 53-man roster, in the opinion of Chicago Tribune writer Dan Wiederer. WRs Victor Cruz, Kendall Wright, Josh Bellamy, Deonte Thompson and Daniel Braverman are considered to be on the bubble. WRs Tanner Gentry, Rueben Randle and Titus Davis are viewed as long shots for the final roster.

Bears | Kendall Wright headed to Chicago

Sat, 11 Mar 2017 16:18:49 -0800

Free-agent WR Kendall Wright (Titans) agreed to terms on a one-year, $4 million contract with the Tennessee Titans on Saturday, March 11.

Fantasy Tip: Considering how injury-prone Kevin White has been over his first two seasons and relatively unproven Cameron Meredith still is, Wright has a chance to lead the Bears in receiving this season if he can stay healthy. At worst, the ex-Titan should be a dependable slot option for Mike Glennon. Wright should be worthy of WR5 consideration in redraft leagues this summer.

Broncos | Kendall Wright could interest Denver

Wed, 25 Jan 2017 20:02:08 -0800

Impending free-agent Kendall Wright "could be a good pick-up at a cheap price," according to the Denver Post's Cameron Wolfe.

Fantasy Tip: While Wolfe is merely speculating, the fit makes sense for both sides. Denver really hasn't had a serviceable slot receiver since Wes Welker, while Wright has shown he is capable of working in between the numbers and would give the Broncos another threat besides Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders. Wright is almost certain to leave the Tennessee Titans in the offseason. Wright is coming off his third straight disappointing season following his 94-catch campaign in 2013 and should be affordable.

Titans | Kendall Wright expects to play elsewhere

Wed, 04 Jan 2017 21:28:53 -0800

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright has an expiring contract, and he said he doesn't believe he is in the team's plans for 2017. "I'll be glad to see what I can do and make a team fall in love with me and go and do what I know I can do," Wright said.

Fantasy Tip: Wright became an afterthought in Tennessee's offense, but he produced early in his career when given a featured role. If he lands in the right situation, he could make a fantasy impact in 2017.

Titans | Kendall Wright's role to remain the same

Fri, 28 Oct 2016 12:02:26 -0700

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright will remain a rotational wide receiver, according to head coach Mike Mularkey, who called Wright "a very good slot receiver, third-down receiver".

Fantasy Tip: Despite what appears to be a resurgent season for the Titans, their stance on Wright remains baffling, as Wright has delivered two huge games in his last three outings and is clearly the team's best receiver. Camp favorite Tajae Sharpe has disappointed, Rishard Matthews is likely a good complementary receiver at best and Andre Johnson has seen his snaps scaled back, leaving Delanie Walker and DeMarco Murray as the team's top receiving threat. Wright is an upside WR4, but that will be his ceiling until Mularkey changes his mind.

Titans | Kendall Wright catches long score

Thu, 27 Oct 2016 21:08:04 -0700

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright had four catches for 84 yards, including a 36-yard touchdown, in a 36-22 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars Thursday, Oct. 27.

Fantasy Tip: Wright has had two big games and three duds this year, making him more appealing as a DFS sleeper than a standard league play.

Titans | Kendall Wright shines in limited time

Mon, 17 Oct 2016 09:23:00 -0700

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright played only 22-of-62 snaps in a Week 6 victory over the Cleveland Browns, but he still posted season highs across the board with eight catches, 133 yards and a touchdown despite running 14 pass routes.

Fantasy Tip: Wright has played more than 25 snaps is returning from a hamstring injury three weeks ago, and he had only recorded three receptions for 23 yards prior to this eruption, so this has many of the signs of a fluke coming against the woeful Browns' pass defense. While there's always a chance this kind of performance leads to more playing time, owners should probably play the wait-and-see game with him and treat him as a WR5 for now.

Titans | Kendall Wright posts strong game

Sun, 16 Oct 2016 14:42:28 -0700

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright caught eight passes for 133 yards, including a 48-yard touchdown, in a 28-26 win Sunday, Oct. 16, against the Cleveland Browns.

Fantasy Tip: Just like Delanie Walker has become Mariota's favorite tight end, Wright looks like he's in favor as a top WR in the Tennessee lineup. Don't go too crazy over this performance since it was Cleveland, but he's still a decent wideout.

Titans | Kendall Wright sees fair load

Mon, 03 Oct 2016 07:29:10 -0700

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright played 25 snaps (38 percent of the offense) in Week 4.

Fantasy Tip: He caught two passes for 14 yards on three targets. The passing game is struggling as a whole, but he's worth holding onto as a WR5.

Titans | Tennessee to lean on Kendall Wright?

Fri, 30 Sep 2016 20:35:04 -0700

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright is expected to provide a boost to the offense because of his quickness, according to offensive coordinator Terry Robiskie.

Fantasy Tip: Tennessee is still looking for a go-to playmaker at the receiver position, so Wright has a chance to carve out a role. His role is unclear at this point, but he is worth keeping an eye on, particularly in PPR formats.

Fri, 30 Sep 2016 14:54:05 -0700

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright (hamstring) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 30, and is not on the injury report for Week 4.

Fantasy Tip: Wright should be active for the team's Week 4 game but could receive limited snaps since it will be his first game of the season. Owners probably will want to see him play in a game before considering him for their starting lineups.

Titans | Kendall Wright has full practice

Wed, 28 Sep 2016 14:42:28 -0700

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright (hamstring) was a full participant in practice Wednesday, Sept. 28.

Fantasy Tip: Wright appears on track to return to the field in the Week 4 matchup against the Houston Texans Sunday, Dec. 2. However, there is too much uncertainty in his role in the offense to view Wright as anything more than a desperation fantasy own at this point of the season.

Titans | Kendall Wright hopes to play

Mon, 26 Sep 2016 16:52:21 -0700

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright (hamstring) said he hopes to play against the Houston Texans in Week 4. Head coach Mike Mularkey said Wright should be a full participant during practice this week.

Fantasy Tip: Wright has missed all three games so far this season, so his role on offense is uncertain at this point. He could see limited snaps if he is active for Week 4 and probably will not be a great fantasy option.

Titans | Kendall Wright still not ready

Sun, 25 Sep 2016 09:23:59 -0700

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright (hamstring) has been declared inactive for the team's Week 3 game.

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright (hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 2 against the Detroit Lions, according to head coach Mike Mularkey.

Fantasy Tip: Wright's inability to stay healthy recently plus the recent emergence of rookie Tajae Sharpe has pushed him to the brink of fantasy relevancy in even the deepest of leagues. Sharpe and Delanie Walker figures to do most of the heavy lifting for the Titans' passing game going forward, so owners can feel free to avoid Wright.

Titans | Kendall Wright out for Week 1

Wed, 07 Sep 2016 21:32:46 -0700

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright (hamstring) will not play in the Week 1 game against the Minnesota Vikings and he is scheduled to undergo another MRI on his left hamstring soon. "I really have no timeframe on Kendall. You think he's got a chance, and then there's a setback. I really have no timeframe on Kendall. That's really going to be up to Kendall," head coach Mike Mularkey said Wednesday, Sept. 7.

Fantasy Tip: Wright was injured over a month ago and missed the remainder of training camp and all of the preseason games. He should be reserved in all deeper fantasy leagues and kept on reserve until he can officially return and prove his health in a full game without any setbacks. Harry Douglas is expected to be the primary slot receiver in Wright's stead.

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright (hamstring) has resumed running, head coach Mike Mularkey said Monday, Sept. 5.

Updating a previous report, Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright (hamstring) said Monday, Aug. 29, that he is feeling better and he thinks he will be ready to play in the team's Week 1 opener. Wright will not play in the preseason finale Thursday, Sept. 1.

Fantasy Tip: Wright has been battling plenty of hamstring issues, so he is a risky fantasy option even if he is available for the opener. With Andre Johnson, Rishard Matthews and Tajae Sharpe playing well ahead of him, he is only worth a look as a WR5 in deeper fantasy formats at this point.

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright (hamstring) strained his hamstring again in practice Monday, Aug. 29. He will not play in the final preseason game against the Miami Dolphins Thursday, Sept. 1.

Fantasy Tip: Wright just can't get past his hamstring issues. If/when he does return he'll surely still play behind at least Tajae Sharpe and Rishard Matthews, and possibly also Andre Johnson. Wright is no more than a late-round flier with added value in PPR leagues.

Titans | Kendall Wright unlikely to play

Mon, 22 Aug 2016 14:26:49 -0700

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright (hamstring) is doubtful to play in Week 3 of the preseason, according to head coach Mike Mularkey.

Fantasy Tip: Wright is still battling a nagging hamstring injury. He may not see any action until the regular season at this point, but he shouldn't be completely overlooked in fantasy drafts, particularly in PPR leagues. You can do worse than taking him as a late-round flier for depth.

Titans | Kendall Wright could return soon

Sun, 21 Aug 2016 13:27:14 -0700

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright (hamstring) may return to practice Wednesday, Aug. 24. He is questionable to play in Week 3 of the preseason.

Fantasy Tip: Right now Wright figures to be the No. 3 wide receiver behind Rishard Matthews and Tajae Sharpe. He still has more value in PPR formats as a possession receiver, but he shouldn't be viewed as more than WR5.
