Titans | Kendall Wright out for Week 1

Wed, 07 Sep 2016 21:32:46 -0700

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright (hamstring) will not play in the Week 1 game against the Minnesota Vikings and he is scheduled to undergo another MRI on his left hamstring soon. That's really going to be up to Kendall," head coach Mike Mularkey said Wednesday, Sept. 7.

Fantasy Tip: Wright was injured over a month ago and missed the remainder of training camp and all of the preseason games. He should be reserved in all deeper fantasy leagues and kept on reserve until he can officially return and prove his health in a full game without any setbacks. Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright (hamstring) has resumed running, head coach Mike Mularkey said Monday, Sept. 5.

Titans | Kendall Wright expects to be ready

Mon, 29 Aug 2016 21:19:44 -0700

Updating a previous report, Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright (hamstring) said Monday, Aug. 29, that he is feeling better and he thinks he will be ready to play in the team's Week 1 opener. Wright will not play in the preseason finale Thursday, Sept. 1.

Fantasy Tip: Wright has been battling plenty of hamstring issues, so he is a risky fantasy option even if he is available for the opener. With Andre Johnson, Rishard Matthews and Tajae Sharpe playing well ahead of him, he is only worth a look as a WR5 in deeper fantasy formats at this point.

Mon, 29 Aug 2016 15:43:30 -0700

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright (hamstring) strained his hamstring again in practice Monday, Aug. 29. He will not play in the final preseason game against the Miami Dolphins Thursday, Sept. 1.

Fantasy Tip: Wright just can't get past his hamstring issues. If/when he does return he'll surely still play behind at least Tajae Sharpe and Rishard Matthews, and possibly also Andre Johnson. Wright is no more than a late-round flier with added value in PPR leagues.

Mon, 22 Aug 2016 14:26:49 -0700

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright (hamstring) is doubtful to play in Week 3 of the preseason, according to head coach Mike Mularkey.

Fantasy Tip: Wright is still battling a nagging hamstring injury. He may not see any action until the regular season at this point, but he shouldn't be completely overlooked in fantasy drafts, particularly in PPR leagues. You can do worse than taking him as a late-round flier for depth.

Titans | Kendall Wright could return soon

Sun, 21 Aug 2016 13:27:14 -0700

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright (hamstring) may return to practice Wednesday, Aug. 24. He is questionable to play in Week 3 of the preseason.

Fantasy Tip: Right now Wright figures to be the No. 3 wide receiver behind Rishard Matthews and Tajae Sharpe. He still has more value in PPR formats as a possession receiver, but he shouldn't be viewed as more than WR5.

Titans | Kendall Wright to work from slot

Wed, 17 Aug 2016 21:51:49 -0700

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright (hamstring) is expected to serve as the team's third wide receiver working out of the slot. He has been dealing with a hamstring injury since early in camp, but in the first few days he appeared energized, according to beat writer Paul Kuharsky.

Fantasy Tip: Wright is also in a contract year, and that usually provides plenty of motivation. With Dorial Green-Beckham out of the picture, look for Wright to be a vital part of the passing offense. He is a decent WR5 with some upside worth picking in the final rounds on draft day.

Mon, 15 Aug 2016 17:04:56 -0700

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright (hamstring) is not participating in practice Monday, Aug. 15, and likely will be sidelined for at least one more week.

Fantasy Tip: It appears that Wright will miss at least one more preseason game, which will not help his chances to have a solid role on offense. Wright is probably no more than a No. 4 receiver in deeper leagues.

Tue, 09 Aug 2016 16:32:41 -0700

Updating a previous item, Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright (hamstring) will miss a couple more weeks after an MRI revealed fluid in his hamstring.

Fantasy Tip: As stated previously, there is a plethora of mouths to feed in Tennessee in 2016. Wright's injury history is a concern, too. He has more value in PPR leagues, but he shouldn't be viewed as more than a WR4 in such formats.

Titans | Kendall Wright still not practicing

Tue, 09 Aug 2016 14:14:09 -0700

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright (hamstring) was still sidelined with a hamstring ailment Tuesday, Aug. 9.

Fantasy Tip: The lingering hamstring issue is starting to be somewhat of a concern. Wright has only played in all 16 games of a season once in his four-year career. He missed six games last season. Tennessee has a lot of mouths to feed in the passing game, too. Wright is at best a WR4 option in PPR leagues.

Wed, 03 Aug 2016 13:31:32 -0700

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright has been working as the slot receiver with the first-team offense during the early part of training camp and has made several solid catches during practice.

Fantasy Tip: Wright appears to have a good chance to have a solid role in the passing game in 2016 if he continues to perform well during practice. Wright could be a late-round option in fantasy drafts but may only be used against favorable matchups.

Tue, 02 Aug 2016 10:12:05 -0700

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright tweaked his hamstring in practice Tuesday, Aug. 2. Titans head coach Mike Mularkey said the injury isn't serious.

Fantasy Tip: Wright fell off the fantasy map but has a chance to return to utility as a slot receiver. He remains nothing better than a late-round depth buy.

Titans | Kendall Wright needs to improve

Thu, 14 Jul 2016 21:35:24 -0700

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright has been told he needs to improve his route running and is expected to be used as a slot receiver.

Fantasy Tip: At best, Wright is a late-round flier in PPR formats, but it looks like his value is headed in the wrong direction.

Titans | Kendall Wright to stay on script

Tue, 07 Jun 2016 14:54:31 -0700

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright will not be allowed to freelance during plays like he may have been allowed to do in the past, according to offensive coordinator Terry Robiskie. Robiskie said he will expect Wright to be where he needs to be during every play. The offensive coordinator said Wright has performed well during offseason workouts.

Fantasy Tip: Wright was limited to 10 games in 2015 and recorded 408 yards and three touchdowns during that span. He should see a decent amount of targets in 2016 but will not be the top target in the passing game. He should be considered a late-round option in deeper leagues.

Titans | Kendall Wright is heavier

Tue, 24 May 2016 13:26:05 -0700

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright said he feels more explosive at his current 195 pounds, 12 pounds heavier than he was last season.

Fantasy Tip: Wright is probably still the most valuable wide receiver in Tennessee, at least with PPR scoring. He'll be sharing targets with Delanie Walker, Rishard Matthews, Dorial Green-Beckham and others, though, so don't view him as more than a WR4 in PPR formats.

Titans | Kendall Wright entering contract year

Tue, 12 Jan 2016 12:00:25 -0800

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright is owed $7.32 million for the 2016 season as he enters the final year of his contract.

Fantasy Tip: Wright has struggled to stay healthy over the course of his four-year career, but he did enjoy a 94-catch season in 2013 and has been a capable slot receiver when he has been able to stay on the field. With QB Marcus Mariota and WR Dorial Green-Beckham each likely to take a step forward this year, Wright possesses a fair amount of upside as a potential fantasy WR3 heading into 2016.

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright (knee) did not participate in practice Friday, Jan. 1, and has been ruled out for the Week 17 game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Fantasy Tip: Dorial Green-Beckham ($4,100, 8.2% of cap) and Harry Douglas ($2,200, 4.4% of cap) likely will receive a majority of the targets during the final regular season game. Both receivers have played well at times this season, but neither is a great fantasy option this week.

Titans | Kendall Wright sits Thursday

Thu, 31 Dec 2015 11:43:01 -0800

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright (knee) is out of practice Thursday, Dec. 31.

Fantasy Tip: Wright ($4,400, 8.8% of cap) proved to be a lackluster play on FantasyScore last week and doesn't hold a lot of upside against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 17.

Titans | No practice for Kendall Wright

Wed, 30 Dec 2015 15:43:28 -0800

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright (knee) did not practice Wednesday, Dec. 30.

Fantasy Tip: Wright ($4,400, 8.8% of cap) left last week's game with the knee injury. He was expected to take part in some of the practice today, so the fact that he didn't participate is concerning. His status will need to be tracked over the next couple days, but don't get your hopes up for a rebound performance from Wright.

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright (knee) is expected to take part in at least some of practice Wednesday, Dec. 30, according to interim head coach Mike Mularkey.

Fantasy Tip: Wright suffered the injury during the team's Week 16 game, but it appears like he will have a chance to play against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 17. Wright has gone seven games without posting at least 50 yards and is not a strong option for fantasy owners.

Titans | Kendall Wright won't return

Sun, 27 Dec 2015 11:55:00 -0800

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright (ribs) has been ruled out for the rest of the game against the Houston Texans.

Fantasy Tip: Wright has played off and on this year with injuries, particularly later in the season. Wright only caught three passes for 18 yards before being ruled out. Delanie Walker and Harry Douglas should be Zach Mettenberger's primary targets now as the Titans attempt to catch up with the Houston Texans.

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright (ribs) and Harry Douglas (ankle) are listed as probable for the Week 16 game against the Houston Texans. Douglas was limited during practice, while Wright fully participated in practice.

Fantasy Tip: Wright ($4,400, 8.8% of cap) will return after a few weeks off and should receive a solid amount of targets during the game. Wright could be a decent option for owners on FantasyScore. Douglas ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) has posted decent options but should not be a great fantasy option.

Titans | Kendall Wright limited

Wed, 23 Dec 2015 14:40:12 -0800

Updating a previous report, Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright (ribs) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Dec. 23.

Fantasy Tip: It's good news for Wright ($4,400, 8.8% of cap), who missed last week's game. However, he's been largely disappointing this year and will have Zach Mettenberger throwing him passes if he returns to face the Houston Texans. Everything about this matchup and Wright's injury screams don't play him.

Titans | Kendall Wright returns

Wed, 23 Dec 2015 11:43:32 -0800

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright (ribs) returned to practice Wednesday, Dec. 23.

Fantasy Tip: Wright ($4,400, 8.8% of cap) would be a decent low-end grab against the Houston Texans on FantasyScore this week, despite his recent inactivity.

Titans | Kendall Wright has broken ribs

Mon, 21 Dec 2015 12:46:53 -0800

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright (ribs) has two broken ribs but is hoping to play in Week 16.

Fantasy Tip: It hasn't been a season to remember for Wright, who has missed five games because of injuries in 2015. Now, Marcus Mariota is out for the season, so Wright's fantasy value decreases a little bit because of that. With fantasy championships on the line next week, starting Wright isn't advisable.
